It seems that if a John McAfee ran for president of the United States I am sure all lovers and users of cryptocurency will vote to give John McAfee a chance to win in the upcoming 2020 election, but this is a possibility but if only elected would bring great a positive impact on the development of the world of cryptocurency in all countries.

Good luck with getting even 0.05% of the American vote. You may call yourself the crypto dad but you know next to nothing about cryptocurrency. The coin that you shilled so much, Verge? Look what happened to it. No use touting the anonymous features and high technology of altcoins that cannot even withstand simple attacks. I do not know to laugh at this joke or feel sad that guys like him still can get richer and more famous for all his wrong and bad calls. Besides, I do not want the crypto community to be served by a US president.

To be honest the man does not have a chance, he used to be a force to reckon with until he started to promote shitty coins and ICOs all for the love of the dollar.

Besides this fact John McAfee was born in the UK and not in the US, so he can´t be a president because it is prerequisite to be born in the US of A as far as I know.

I think this is good news for the crypto community. This can be a way for people around the world to get to know about the crypto world.

that would be very good for crypto, but maybe not the best for the country itself. besides, i do not think he would get enough votes to win. let's see if it really comes to that.

I think this is his desperate move by making a prediction that will make bitcoin hit $1,000,000.
By running for presidential position, he can have the power to do his prediction on that year if he wins. But I doubt it that he will win the presidential race. Does anyone have an idea on who are his opponents?

McAfee charges $105,000 for a single tweet about your coin. His followers blindly lap it up. He is orchestrating a massive pump and dump and getting paid for it.
He is fully aware he will never get elected - he is likely just going to use the platform/publicity to further increase his pump and dump scams and get richer from idiots that believe him.

Basically this. I think he did run in 2016 though or had some debates back then so it isn't a 100% a farce. But I do think he is leveraging his position with his following to use that in order to make him some money. Whether he runs in 2020 well we have to wait another year to see that.

Nothing is impossible, he might try it or he just raise his popularity. by bringing crypto to political events I think this is bad. or he's doing the latest project promotion ...

Two intentions at one presidential race. That's possible that if ever he won't win then he's just going to promote cryptocurrency all over the states in the US. I can't see that there is something bad on what's going to do but he has a lot of time by joining the candidacy just for the promotion of crypto's? He may want to become the president and at the same time, promoting crypto is one of is goals while he's campaigning.

The chances of him winning is probably smaller than his prediction of a 1 million btc value in 2020. Though of course it's obvious that more focus would be directed to cryptocurrencies if in case the old man becomes president. Mcafee's becoming more and more radical if he thinks there's a chance for what he's trying to achieve both for crypto and politics.
