My account jw_industry (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=348239) was banned yesterday , I would like to request it to unbanned. because I really don't know what I did wrong. I kindly request from admins to check this and give me a fair solution.

Thank you!

It seems to be autobanned for being possibly compromised probably because you changed your password and email recently.

Can you sign a bitcoin message?

That’s really strange... autobaning users if email and passwords both are changed?

How is this even going to help anyone? Is this some kind of a security feature or what? Am I missing something?

It must be annoying for users who suffer with this since getting unban takes ages and plus requirement for getting a singed massage and sending it to Cyrus or Theymos, who are already overbooked, it’s not working.

I guess management must revise this auto ban policy, specially in such particular cases when user changes his email and password.

Is it often that a user needs to change both the password and the email? I hope not.

Password changes are important, yes. But more often than not, an email change signifies a change of hands with the account ownership.

(Given that this is a security feature, anyway. I believe that the account is only locked when the email is notified or when a security question reset occurs)

That is the worst part, I never posted my Bitcoin address here on the forum before. So I have no way of proving it.

I haven't logged into my account for sometime and I thought it would be a good thing to change my PW and Email, and also I haven't set up a security question before, so I set up that too.

I changed the email because it showed some suspicious activity and couldn't risk it, but it seems by doing that I lost one of the most valuable things I had so far.

I kindly request from admins to Unlock the account and will surely take precautions for next time and be very careful about using too.

Ordinarily, you could appeal the ban by sending a mail to the email provided, but it could take an age. I think there should be a better way of doing this.

Yes, I sent an Email to the address, Yeah, I saw some members waiter 6 months to recover the account. Problem is Only Admins can remove the bans and recover hacked accounts, If it can be done by Staff members too there will be some kind of speed to the process, but they can't do that yet, as I understand, with the number of requests admins receive every day (if not every hour) taking time is inevitable. just hope for the best.

My old account was banned in january or february. I think it was because of some IP issues. I cannot even remember.
Sent emails a couple of times but didnt get any responses...

So yeah it has been 5 months... good luck.
Can you please DM me if you find a solution!”?
Thanks..

So you are ban evading? A ban is the person as well as any accounts past, present and future.

When the subject of buying BTC with Paypal comes up, I often remember this:

Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.
