After almost 250 coins (or as i think, proposals) created, now it's time to think how the crypto-economic-world can hit the real world and mainly the average population and the government (yes, we need their aprovation, or surrender xD). Now the dev should think about creating brand new services or protocols that could bring more safety and ease of use for that people. Now all the crypto-coins are only one thing, even if one increase a little bit than other, all can get high prices with that services.

They can make the same or a lot more money if think about inovative systems that could bring more investments, governments and, of course, people to the crypto-world.

Now I have accepted the fact that it cost little to nothing to create an altcoin. I dont think coin creation phase will ever end.

The copy paste crap coins will flood the market until every word in the dictionary is used and then some. I haven't seen any coins that have been truly innovative, but maybe we'll see some in the future.

you may have reached the limits of your tolerance, or imagination, though.

I still think iCoin can be huge just based on it's name, it will be interesting to see where iCoin goes, it really just has the best name for a virtual currency.
I mean even Digibyte I thought had a good name but after thinking about it, it sounds more like a tech company.

A dev with an imagination, now there would be something innovative and original. Half of these coins seem to be named after the first thing that pops into their head. I still think iCoin can be huge just based on it's name, it will be interesting to see where iCoin goes, it really just has the best name for a virtual currency
It wont be when they get sued lol.
There's a massive list here as well: http://www.wheretomine.com/ Why people even bother with most of these is beyond me.
The answer is simple and you know it: bitcoin is reserved already (need details about that?), litecoin is minted by rich people with expensive hardware, known altcoins are going after litecoins and bitcoins (same path). For newbies remains new altcoins with low dificulty and big expectation. It looks like regulation is good now for you, right? When regulation is made by guvernments is bad. When is no regulation (like in this crypto world) is bad... People must chose their path: regulated or not? Most of the "robin hoods" today transforms after a while in capitalist pigs, right? How do you regulate this? Bitcoin is the biggest example of unregulated capitalist world: profits with no limits and, when this "dream" (I call it nightmare) is put on hold by other individuals (wich want only to survive, not to get rich), the ex-"robin hood" complains about it. Let the chaos regulate us all!

i hate it when the devs, if you can call them that, bring out a coin and then f*ck off. especially if theirs a few people interested in the coin.

It is not because the coin is not improving a technical aspect that it is not useful. Granted, there are too many coins out there already. Also for our goal there is already SexCoin and TittieCoin. However, it is not because people are later to launch a coin that they are more or less crap than any of the earlier coins. We saw great potential in SexCoin and saw some flaws in the management which is why we are working for months already to involve industry partners before we launch this coin. We are aiming to make a coin for a specific group that benefits from it, make it fair, promote it with the right people, don't just launch it and hope people pick up (there are too many coins for this tactic to work) make sure businesses have a personal interest in the coin and most of all not abandon the coin. Saying all 200 coins you list there are all crap coins without better investigation in what they are trying to achieve is a bit... of a shortcut. In any case I agree that there are too many coins and yet I believe in the one I am promoting enough to join their team.. which is maybe a bit ironic . PS: we are releasing the coin soon, more information can be found here: http://forum.cryptolife.net/index.php?topic=66.0Twitter @OfficialTitcoin Facebook http://www.facebook.com/titcoin Subscribe to Mailing list http://[Suspicious link removed]/N4KET

Valid point, then again, welcome to the internet which is even worse than real life to determine whether someone is lying or not. With AltCoins, you can never be sure.. there is money involved and personally I also don't trust people when money is involved.. only time will tell which coins are still supported by their team and which are not. We are in every case really doing an effort to get industry partners involved which is far from easy and explains why we didn't launch 4 months ago.
