Helio friends,

In first place, nice to stay here with you.

I am beginner in the Crypto World, and I have a problem with Electrum Wallet. I sent Bitcoin Cash from Coinbase to Electrum and they did not arrive to the wallet. I think that the problem is wallet because only works with Bitcoin not Bitcoin Cash.

How do I recover the coins? Or what do I?

Thanks.
Regards.

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

Download a bitcoin cash wallet[1] then import your electrum private keys on to the bitcoin cash wallet. You should then be able to access your BCH.

Just to clear thing up. Yes, you can't send BCH to a standard electrum wallet. You will need a dedicated wallet for Bitcoin Cash (maybe there is a electrum version available).

As the previous poster already mentioned. Just download a different wallet and import your private key there. Be careful when doing this, because the private key is all you (or an attacker) needs to access your funds.

To add, there is a modified Electrum client for Bitcoin Cash, so you don't have to adjust to the interface anymore:

https://electroncash.org/

You're lucky you own the address you sent to, because I doubt you'll be able to recover it otherwise. Be careful next time! I'm also assuming you sent it to a non-Segwit address, because you may not be able to recover it otherwise but I could be wrong.
