... and, in all honesty, it scares the f*ck out of me.

I read here in the forum, in the Portuguese section, a post by @sabotag3x mentioning that McAfee is launching his own currency. Printed money, apparently backed by the blockchain (not sure how) and such...

Am I the only one who gets scared by this?
This guy is the biggest fraud in the crypto world, everybody knows he accepts bribe in exchange of "marketing" coins and projects, he gives out "predictions" on Twitter that are totally biased, and he surely affects the market with it...
... and now this guy is launching a full on currency, with his face printed on it and all of that.

Cyrptocurrencies, at least the core of it, come to disrupt corruption and these shady businesses. I can't believe this guy is such an imbecile to try and start such a horrifying project.
And the worst of it is that he is probably going to get a lot of support for it.

Do you guys also get outraged by something like this?

Someone should print/issue paper Satoshis backed by the real bitcoins.  Each denomination bill with its own bitcoin address.

The idea of paper "dollars" has to do with making "dollar bills" that are way less expensive than the coin backing them. One would have to make microscopic satoshi bills to make them cheaper than satoshi's. Might be collector items, sometime... if you could ever find one and pick it up with your tweezers.

I've just recently discovered the whole collectibles section of the forum!  Polymerbit and bitbills are two such "paper bill" style cold wallets, been around for many years!  There are also a TON of coins that are cold wallets.  Some of the artwork on the bills and coins is stunning, the kialara moon coin is one of my favourites and on my wish list of things to acquire!

Not sure if bitbills still makes stuff or not, they made cards and bills iirc
