That's a marketing word. you should not try to believe it. The team is using it to create a FOMO to the investors and traders. It will be similar as trx or even eos, the launched of the mainnet doesn't give a lot of impact to the coin itself. In fact that developer just try to create fear of missing for anyone.

There is a possibility of such competition. Recently several new coins are coming to the market. Everyone has their strength. But this iost is doing well. Their team is really doing a lot of advertising to build trust on the investors. So it seems that these new coins will have a tough competition with iost.
