Many of the current gambling protocols and tokens are very narrow minded in scope. They are looking to create a token for gambling on sports (FansUnite) or for casinos (FunFair). At Gamblr, we believe that if someone will take your bet on something you should be able to bet on it.
> What Make Gamblr Different?
We are staying 100% decentralized. We will never have a website for interacting with our protocol. All of our code and smart contracts will be open sourced. We strongly encourage bet makers and takers to create websites and UIs, but that is not what we will be doing. We are a small and dedicated team, but we feel it is best to focus our time on smart contracts and bringing in bet makers to our system.
> Why Are You Anonymous?
We are a small team of devs and at this time do not want the project to be about us. A little background on us (if you believe us):
1. Is a full time blockchain developer. Has created a successful token already in a very different field.
2. Full stack developer. Working at a small start up. Met 1 after university
3. Full stack developer. Works at a large financial firm. Met 2 in uni and introduced to 1 through 2.
We are going to be as transparent as possible, while also maintaining our anonymity.
> How Will Gamblr Work?
In short, you can create any bet you want and if someone will take it you can bet on it with Ethereum.
Gamblr tokens are used by bet makers to create an incentive structure for people to be third party resolvers in the system. Bet makers will put up tokens (the larger the bet the more tokens put up in the system) and those tokens are used to as a reward for truthfully answering the result of the bet. This will be done in a blind vote system, much like that of Augur.
> Why Use Blockchain?
If any of you have dealt with off shore sites such as my bookie and bovada they are pretty seedy and it can be hard to get out large amounts of funds. This system is trustless.
