hi guys, I would like to report the unprofessional business practice of octaex.com regarding their coin withdrawal. I have been messaging them through email, web-chat and discord but they are not responding for a week now. All of the clients based on octaex discord forum have same issue as mine, they can not withdraw their coins. I'm doing this so that investors will be inform on their unethical behavior. Keep safe everyone.

I tried to take coins yesterday and I'm still waiting, I sent them an email because the btc would not let me out and I'm still waiting.

A week ago I took out coins including btc without any problem. I hope it's just a temporary problem.

Two main things that seems to be wrong with this exchange right now based on recent complaints:

- Coin developers are paying to list tokens, but Octaex isn't honouring their end of the deal.
- Users are not able to take out any funds from their balances

Apart from that, their support just seems unresponsive at this point.

These are very bad signs. It could just be a temporary issue but I think it's more than that. Considering that they are mostly anonymous and who knows where they're operating at, it's fair to say that they are exit scamming unless they come out and clarify. Hopefully everyone gets their coin back, but it doesn't seem likely atm.

Pretty sure that a lot of people are aware of there scams by now. Their reviews are really bad in the internet and you can see a lot of negative opinion to a lot of different websites including reddit and steemit which other users also agree on their bad service. My advice is to stay away from a not so reliable cryptocurrency exchanges as they are really not worth the risk you are giving. You will just end up losing money at the end.

Yes, it is. The exchange:

- is not processing withdrawals
- support is not responding

- but .... they are accepting deposits

So don't send coins there ... or you will [probably] loose them forever.

they are using same layouts as bter.com an exchange with 3 (!) big losses due 3 (!) hack of their exchanges. stop deposit immediately, try to withdraw funds.
first reporting as scam on bitcointalk: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4421347.0

Yeah, exactly. The thing that bothers me is that a lot of people have probably still deposited to that exchange, even though it's essentially confirmed that it's already exit scamming. However, the site is actually down right now that I check it.

I'd say that right now there is virtually no chance for the site to come back and reimburse all the funds. Withdrawals aren't getting processed, coin listings aren't getting processed, support is nonexistent as all these scam accusations reflect. And now, the site isn't even up.

Unfortunately, there is a reason why only trustworthy exchanges that are regulated should be used. These shady exchanges shouldn't even be considered for trading in the first place, tbh (unless you have a coin that is only traded there, in which case you have to risk it).

Transferred funds to my ETH account, payment is verified 10 days. No funds have been received. It is impossible to write in support. This is not a stock exchange, but scammers!

I also do not understand the attitude taken by coinmarketcap, which still features some scam exchangers. including octaex, almost all trading volumes on the exchanger are bots. if you have reached the price of your order. your token will still not be sold

I think etherflayer is also like that, my token can never be sold on the exchanger
