How can we found a good time to invest in Alts?

IMO, the best time to buy altcoins are when the project is not popular or during bear market.

Most of the altcoin prices are low now, and it is a good time to buy. You mentioned that you invested and lost, did you invest at the peak in January 2018? You can either hold on to your coins till the market recover or buy more of the coin to lower your average buying price.
