Since were talking (so as to say) about meriting habits today, I’ve added two new sections to our profile summary: - Received TX: For each number of sMerits received (first column), it displays the % of our total sMerits TX reeived, and the count of sMerits TXs. - Sent TX: For each number of sMerits sent (first column), it displays the % of our total sMerits TX sent, and the count of sMerits TXs. i.e. The máx. sMerits I have sent to date per TX is 4. That has happened on 2 occasions, which represents 0,05% of my sent sMerit TXs. https://public.tableau.com/shared/7DFZBRFR3?:display_count=y&:origin=viz_share_linkAs usual, change the UserName (top right) and press enter to see a different profile.

Yep, I had quite a bit of personal stuff to do today, so I shifted things around quite a bit: Normally, I download the merit.txt file, integrate it, and only then do I retrieve all the profiles and newly merited posts (that all takes more or less 13 to 14 hours of linear time, which increases overtime, in accordance to the increase in merited posts and profiles). I’ve complicated it a wee bit now, by starting to retrieve on Thursday those profiles that are least likely to change between then and Friday’s Merit.txt file (profiles that have not logged-in over the last six months and did not get merited recently). This leaves less stuff to do in Friday, and I can now not overlap the update with my dinner time … This new approach gives me a bit more flexibility to finish earlier for now.

Recent: Google Sheet Tabular sumary for all merited accounts (updated weekly): (user_id, name, datecreated, rank, posts, activity, merit, MeritReceived, startedwith, meritsent, probableInitialRank, url) https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1mD6cdsQNJ8dauTL-XLi8I0oDG5WBl0z0NeKzXTByNyw/edit?usp=sharing There are a few errors in number of merits started with (Column J) Number of airdropped merit can be only 0, 10, 100, 250, 500 and 1000. But there are some users with other numbers of airdropped merit. _________________ | _________________ | Airdropped Merit | Number of Users | _________________ | _________________ | 1 | 27 | 2 | 5 | 3 | 2 | 5 | 1 | 101 | 12 | 102 | 2 | 150 | 1 | 251 | 6 | 252 | 2 | 253 | 3 | 501 | 9 | 502 | 3 | 503 | 1 | 504 | 1 | 1001 | 11 | 1002 | 7 | 1003 | 3 | 1004 | 2 | _________________ | _________________ |

That does happen in a small set of cases (98 over 32.788 -> 0,3%). I do take that situation into account to derive the "probable initial rank" values (I apply a margin of tolerance for each rank), but the initial airdropped sMerit is calculated as follows: Profile Merits – sum(received sMerit from TXs) = Initial airdropped Merits. Now what happens is that there is always a time gap between the two data origins: - sMerit TXs are generated around 3 AM UTC (a bit before). - Profiles are scraped at a rate on 1 per second, somewhere between Thursday night and Friday morning (until a few weeks ago, it went on until Friday evening). What happens is that a few (fortunate) profiles are merited between 3AM and the time the profile is scraped. In these cases, the profile will have more merits that the corresponding sum(received sMerit from TXs), and therefore the initial sMerits for these cases can be off on a given week (probably not on the following week). There are possible solutions to this, such as force values to the nearest logical value, or play around comparing to last week’s Initial airdropped Merits, but for such a small amount of cases it seems pecata minuta really.

Update 14/02/2020:The dashboard gives you access to anyone’s complete merit history in the TX tab, surpassing the 120 day limit. Link: BitcoinTalk Merit Dashboard. Updated the Merit Dashboard to reflect the most recent sMerit available data: Total sMerit: 595.992 Total Txs: 306.907 From Users: 21.724 To Users: 32.876 minDate: 2018-01-24 22:12:21 maxDate: 2020-02-14 02:37:50 Aggregate awarded sMerit for the last complete week (03/02/2020 .. 09/02/2020) is 6.059 which is down 9,61% from the previous week. In addition, there are 2 more Legendries this week: Blacknavy -> Legendary from Sr. Member during Merit System kick-off. Royse777 -> Legendary from Hero Member during Merit System kick-off. Note: I've just noticed that here are some issues identifying rank-up for Legendary Copper Members and staff. Not sure what I'll do here, since the rank is not on the profile, and is not strictly derivable from merits and activity (activity is a range). This causes that the Dashboard to identify an Old Era Newbie ranked-up to Legendary this week, which is not true. I'll try to resolve it next week. NEW (with recalculated data as of today):Added the lists to the Merit Dashboard. (Last tab, or https://public.tableau.com/shared/J8MWCR5H2?:display_count=y&:origin=viz_share_link). The data included is as of 07/02/2019. I’ve still got to see what update frequency to use for this tab (initially, I’ll try to make it weekly, alongside all other tabs but the one on the number of posts which is always monthly). The screen looks like this: There are 3 sections on the screen: a) Who ranked whom – Ranking: It shows an ordered list of those who have ranked most people on the forum. In order to search within the list, either scroll around, or use the UserFromName filter on the right hand side of the screen (once filtered though, we’ll lose sight of the proper rank position, as it will be limited to a single entry). b) Who ranked me: It displays the list of profiles that ranked me up, the date, TX, merits and post. The post name is clickable, and the menu that pops-up lets you go to the post itself on Bitcointalk. c) Who I ranked: It displays the list of profiles that I’ve ranked-up, the date, TX, merits and post. The post name is clickable, and the menu that pops-up lets you go to the post itself on Bitcointalk. You can change the user here in the UserName box (and press enter) in order to change the view to that of another user (applies to both sections "b" and "c" simultaneously).

The merit dashboard shows earned merit. But the forum shows total merit (earned merit + airdropped merit). Theymos has earned 6591 merit and has 1000 airdropped merit. When merit system was implemented, all users of the forum except newbies received airdropped merits, so they are not deranked. All legendary members including theymos received 1000 airdropped merit.

As @hosseinimr93 indicates, some profiles had an initial amount of Merits (and sMerits) when the system kicked-off. Specifically, they had an airdropped amount of Merits equivalent to their rank at the time. Therefore, a Member would have and airdrop of 10 Merits, a Full Member a 100, a Sr. Member 250, and so on. On the Dashboard, I’m usually displaying earned merits (meaning non-airdropped merits). The Rankings Tab you mentioned displays earned Merits. Only on the tabs where I display Activity and Posts alongside Merits do I display various Merit counters: Merits (Total Merits), Merits Received (earned Merits) and Initial Merits (airdropped Merits). These are displayed for example in the Personal Summary Tab (on the top left cuadrant), the User Summary Tab.
