I've been mining Ether (using Claymore Miner) on eth.suprnova.cc for a month now and although shares have been found, I'm suspecting something is going wrong somewhere since most of the time nothing shows up on suprnova's dashboard and my earnings are ten times less than what I think they should be.

I'm mining on a NVidia 1060 6GB (inside an i7 PC).

Like I said, most of the time my Dashboard shows a hashrate of 0.00 MH/s. Every now and then, the hashrate suddenly shoots up to somewhere between 20-40 MH/s. But it will do so only briefly and will then drop to zero again.

According to the Ethereum page on supernova.cc, mining is done with the following Claymore command:

ethdcrminer64.exe -epool eth.suprnova.cc:5005 -ewal suprnova.1 -epsw x -esm 3 -dpool dcr.suprnova.cc:3252 -dwal suprnova.1 -dpsw x -allpools 1
(Of course, suprnova.1 should be replaced with <username>.<workername>)

But if I do that, I get all kinds of errors and no mining is done. So I use this instead (and this works):

EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool eth.suprnova.cc:5000 -ewal Zippy1970.Worker1 -epsw x -esm 3 -dpool dcr.suprnova.cc:3252 -dwal Zippy1970.Worker2 -dpsw x -allpools 1

At least, I think it works because I don't get any error messages and shares are found. But most of the time, nothing shows up on my dashboard.

So far, my earnings this month is 0.0067 ETH. According to whattomine.com, I should be able to earn 0.0018 per day. So instead of the 0.0067 I've earned so far, it should have been around 0.06, almost ten times as much.

So can anyone please help me? Am I doing something wrong?

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

You could try:

EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool eth.suprnova.cc:5000 -ewal Zippy1970 -eworker Worker1 -epsw x -mode 1
