The voting caused a lot of troubles lately due to abuse. The terms clearly state no right for a coin to get added and the voting should only be seen as an indicator. The timer will probably be removed, because it suggests other things. We will soon announce how we are going to continue with the voting.

The number of coins will also be reduced.

Best regards,

Kevin / SWISSCEX

Dear SwissCex "Support"

We, at Virtual Mining Coin (VMC) DEV Team, are very disappointed about Your attitude to the last Voting Winner Coin: VMC

VMC has won the voting on Your site, previous saturday, on the date 4th of october !
We have contacted You in mail & Twitter, providing our contacts (official mail, Twitter page and Bitcointalk thread)
We have opened a ticket on ur support page as well, providing the same contact information

Not a single respond till this moment   Angry
We have opened a second ticket in 6 days, but still no respond till today.

Ticket details below:
Voting winner VMC to the market #2679 (Created on Sun, 5 Oct at 11:43 am)
Voting #2708 (Created on Sat, 11 Oct at 8:41 pm)

Saddest thing, that despite of VMC has won the voting on Your site, VMC market hasnt (and is still not) added  Huh
You have reopened the voting again, (after a few days of frozen state) and it is active now, with VMC still on the 1st place of the list.
How is it possible, that the Winner coin is not added to the market and You let your voting run along ?!?

Whole VMC Community is very disappointed about Your behavior.
We (VMC) have gained 12282 VOTES (!) added up by lot of members of VMC Community.
We have even purchased some (thousands) votes, guys were paying using their own funds to get a BIG Market for VMC...

We believe it is not a fair way of You, that You ignore the results of Voting (it was the demand of a Community)
Some of our members are shouting SCAM and very desperated about Your treatment  Undecided

We believe (at least 'hope') that You should/will do the right thing and approve VMC as Winner of YOUR OWN Voting process...!
SwissCex is an acclaimed Exchange site, with good reputation, HUGE amount of CUSTOMERS (We are) and we dont think You can afford to risk it in Public with being pitty, ignorant and having this kind of attitude  Cry

Waiting for Your explanation and a quick action/response.

Sincerely:
VMC DEV Team

To Bitcointalk Community:
Anyone, who feel this way of treatment is not fair, and want fair play, please make some noise here and "honk" for VMC !
https://www.swisscex.com/voting

I do agree. Swisscex looks very bad now. Shame on you Swisscex.

"the voting should only be seen as an indicator."

What do you thinking about yourself? If the voting is an indicator, why people can buy votes? Add VMC to swisscex, because we won the voting.

If you can't do this then refund the BTCs to the people who bought votes!

Scammer Team!

Which are the active coins on SwissEx?

I've heard people say some good things about SwissEx.
Following the Mintpal debacle, do we know much about the people running this exchange or the general set-up?
Who "owns" coins that are on the exchange? I ask because today I got some coins out of Mintpal, but for a day or so I was wondering who actually "owned" the coins as Moolah was supposed to be going into liquidation and I suddenly wondered if that happened to an exchange would the liquidator be able to claim any coins.
So I guess i'm trying to understand how different exchanges are structured.
Thanks.

Another couple of questions. Smiley
Do you ever "stake" pos coins?
What is your attitude towards "bots"?

Hi adhitthana,

I can image that many people might be worried about the numorous exchange accidents.

First of all, you can find all tradable coins on the website. The deposited coins on the exchange belong to the respective user. We keep 100 % reserves, so all coins should always be available.
We only stake where it "just happens", like on hot/withdrawal wallets. We curently do not stake to make profit and intentionally trade the security of our customer deposits for a few coins. We think risking the whole exchange is not worth earning an insignificant amount of extra coins.

What do you exactly mean with "bots"? We usually do not restrict trading activities.

I hope I could answer at least some of your questions.

Best regards,

Kevin / SWISSCEX

I don't really care if an exchange adds this or that coin or removes this or that coin. That is not important. What is important is who is running it, can they be trusted and what is their security like. These are the important issues for me.

Thank you for your replies.  Smiley
By bots I mean automated trading systems. There are two exchanges I am active on and it looks to me like the automated trading systems "see" my order a fraction before it enters the market. I'm not sure if this is right but it looks that way.
I haven't traded at swissex for a while or very much, but on say Bittrex sometimes there are so many small orders that I can't see the real depth. I know that Bittrex made some changes to somethings like how many orders can be entered etc..to try to limit the unhelpful side of these things. So was wondering if you did too. I suspect that thus far swissex has not been busy enough so it hasn't been an issue.
Anyway I have heard good things about the exchange but there is just not much activity in the coins I am active in...yet. But I wish you well.

Spam prevention can be an issue but should not have a negative impact on other traders. I am sure that the pricing scheme will change in this space as the market grows and the industry matures. Inevitably exchanges will either have to limit the number of orders or charge for orders. Current cryptocurrency traders benefit from incredibly low trading fees compared to traditional exchanges. The trade off is lower security and service quality.

As long as everybody is treated the same on an exchange, a trader/bot should not be able to have a negative impact on other traders. We guarantee that all orders enter the same FIFO queue (first come first served principle) and also all trading information will be pushed out through the same channel without any prioritization. An exchange could modify its trading engine to make profit. Unfortunately audits will be very difficult to conduct.

Thanks for your wishes and I hope you will consider us for your futures trades.

Best regards,

Kevin

We are currently finishing the migration of our systems. Due to the large number of wallets, it will take some time until all wallets are fully synced. Therefore deposits and withdrawals are delayed until the wallets are synced. We expect that all missing deposits will be processed later today.

Please see our latest news on Twitter: https://twitter.com/swisscex

We apologize for the inconvenience thank you for your trust.
