He canceled instruction that company itself can't hold Bitcoin too...

Imagine how many of these big guys we don't know about we already have on the ship. They were buying as crazy last summer, and they still do.

Interesting.

If you aren't the sole controller of your private keys, you don't have any bitcoins.

Excellent! I knew they would! there is no better way to accumulate a load of bitcoins. forget a market order. just put out your hand and catch them as they fall.
But why is the stock crashing? maybe investors consider holding bitcoins too risky. << I like this.
or is it just general economic conditions?

As time goes on more "wealthy" people will buy bitcoin and when they do they won't really need to liquidate it for personal financial reasons. I think they are more likely to hold on until the moon than your average person.

Amazon and other retailers fell pretty hard too.  I think bitcoin has been positive for Overstock.

Better to hold coins than shares at this time, for sure.

I read somewhere that the quarter results did not include the Bitcoin sales yet.  This quarter should be much better.

I'm pretty sure that's the case since they started accepting Bitcoin in January.

Quote
Bitcoin sales, which the company began processing after 31st December, were not factored into the report. It’s big first-day earnings will not be reflected until the end of first quarter 2014.
