Got ICO Tokens. Need money, any advice?

I've got paid with ICO tokens. Tokens are in my wallet. I was saving money for a surgery for "baby issues"  and i tought i might sell these tokens. The token is not listed in any exchange atm. Do you have any advice about how can i sell them ?

Unfortunately getting paid in ICO tokens is not a great source of instant money. It's a lot more difficult to sell tokens not on an exchange, as I'm sure you're aware of.

The best place to start looking for potential buyers is in their telegram group (this will be the best bet, as most of these people in the telegram will believe in the project - you should probably send a message to an admin first to make sure you'd be allowed to use the board to find a buyer, so you don't get banned). You will need to set your price under the ICO price (obviously), including any bonus the buyers get from buying directly from the ICO. This alone may make the transaction not worth it.

Once you have a buyer you will need an escrow service. Unfortunately I have no experience in this field, so you should check google for some reliable service that works with ERC20 tokens.

You really need to consider if this will all be worth your time, it's extremely risky and you'll be selling at a very low price. I wish you luck though, it's always rough to be in a situation where you need money for emergencies.

You need to wait for these tokens in able to sell unless someone's interested with your token and you can sell it them off on Marketplace (Altcoins).

I do not know which tokens are you holding but tokens can't be sold unless its developers list on exchange. Tokens might give you good profits in future if you wait for the right time.
Keep patience, don't be in hurry mood for little money, patience is the key to success

You can sell only after the listing of exchanges. But, here you have not mentioned which coin you have got to your wallet. If the coin has heavy demanding then you can approach in Telegram community for peer-to-peer transactions. But, if the token is locked for the transaction then you can only get cash after the listing. So, keep patience.

you'd better make a thread about offer in marketplace boards about selling ico tokens you have today. write also your tokens, how many tokens and prices you want. you can also make an offer to investors in their telegram group.

You can look for a buyer in telegram ICO group, and use admin as escrow service. If token not locked maybe you will be able to sell them.

Very correctly said the man in the second post after the author. You need to look for buyers in the chat of telegrams of the campaign, which you paid tokens. There is simply no other option!

Unfortunately ico's must be looked at as a long-term investment and not something that you can cash out for instant money, I've seen people involved in a few projects for years in my short research here and I'm sure that people overall don't invest in a coin to see it 100 x overnight unless they are genuinely stupid or an Insider

Easy to say hard to manage. If the ICO is full of the people with the same targets as you are it is going to be hard to sell tokens, cause of the supply is going to be huge.

Yes, youre right and this is why I advice people joining an ICO is not the most important part cause the most important part is that the ICO token must be available on exchange as soon as possible after the ICO end and the whole concept of the ICO must be conc in terms of utility.

You create a thread if the ICO is tight maybe you can find someone to buy the token and pay you in btc or contact Jamalaezaz for trade but you must be caution though.

Can you name the ICO? Btw if that ICO is popular (for example like Qtum was from the very begining) or has great developers or promises something real, unique and exciting, then why not to sell your tokens? What about to make thread here on selling them?
If I amn' wrong, one DT member (can't remember name) sold ico tokens successfully.

I mean why would you invest in an ICO if you didn't believe in the project? Obviously they can't have an exchange ready before finishing their ICO, it takes time and they probably don't want a dumpage of tokens. Your best bet is to wait, I doubt anyone will be willing to buy the tokens from you.

i appreciate your kind reply. I believe the project and I know that it will worth more than I need when it's in the exchange. The ICO plans to be in an exchange by early of 2019 so a bit patience won't hurt anyone. I decided not to look for quick money as it will be hard to sell and worth less than half of its real price. So now everything is clear, i will keep conducting my current financial plan.

Yeah i actually believe the project and i know it will worth in the near future lot more than i need today. That's a bounty so i did not buy the tokens. instead, i invested time and energy.
But life has always its own plan. Me and my wife always wanted to have a kid but my doctor said i have to get a surgery and thats why i wanted to see if i can make money over this tokens to do what has to be done. of course i have an ongoing financial plan to save money for this but thanks to the people replying to this topic i decided to keep the tokens for near future, it will not help me today but will make a good money in the future.

There's no way to sell if that token not already listed in any exchanges because sometimes they listed after a month so you need keep updated to that token. And I think don't always rely to what token you will get because it takes time to listed and to have value in market.

If the ICO token is very promising and has a legit background that has been being worked out hardly and properly by it's developers, for sure there are people out there that's willing to take it.

Those good old days were the best, ICO's before were legit and were real about what they are selling but now it's getting harder to sell tokens that aren't listed.

There will be no any other interested people to buy it from someone who's actually selling it to dump. Unless the developers will find a way to list it or they are willing to buy back, you need to be patient.

You won't get a good price if it's not yet listed, and you'd probably have to find a buyer then arrange a private sale.
This will likely be difficult, and again you won't get a good price. It is probably better to sell some other coins that you might already have that are already listed.

I dunno which tokens you have, so it's difficult to gauge the price, but you can try to go for an OTC deal. Also try to ask for buyers in their Telegram group, you need to have an escrow for trusted services.
