if you are popping breakers that is REALLY dangerous. Electrical rules state you should keep loads at <80% of the rated capacity, or ~1500W per 15A circuit.

I was using 3 different 15A circuits for a while - just upgraded to some heft 213V, 30A circuits in order to expand

24" PCI-E cables with 16AWG wires and stripped ends - great for server PSU mods, best prices https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=563461

Yeah I moved the antminers to the spare bedroom which is on its own circuit with nothing using it. No problems now. It was in my office walk-in closet which uses the same circuit as my office which has a beefy gaming computer, a server, a laser printer, ect.

When you upgrade to 213V, 30A circuits you need to run new wiring as well correct?

You're not popping breakers running 6 Ants through one outlet? In a kitchen with other appliances?

Tips? 1crazy8pMqgwJ7tX7ZPZmyPwFbc6xZKM9

looks like 240V - either a stove outlet of just a 15A 240V outlet that is a little bit too close to its limits

Here are my Ants powered by a HP DPS-800GB server supply w/ custom breakout board wired to a Raspberry Pi running MinePeon so I can monitor the status and power cycle remotely.

Roughly $30, I did all the soldering by hand. All in all about half the cost of the CX750's I was using before this.

New Update. In my non-climate controlled 2-car garage I have three S1 Antminers overclocked to 393 MHz. The temperature here in Santa Fe, New Mexico is 62F/17C, but the three miners bring the temperature up to a cozy 89F/32C inside the garage. I ran one miner for 8 hours without my custom cover, which then reported temperatures of 54C/57C in the "Miner Status" tab. After 30 minutes with the cover on the temperatures had dropped to 51C/53C, and after 45 minutes the temperatures had dropped to a stable 47C/50C. This equates to a 13 degree Fahrenheit drop on both boards.

I will be selling an improved version of the case within a week, with the price point in the .017 BTC range for quantities under 10, and ~.0155 BTC for 10+ units (based on the current exchange rate). The price will include UPS ground shipping with tracking inside the USA for orders of 10+, while smaller orders will be at a flat rate of .009 BTC for UPS shipping.

Any update on this?  I moved my mining operation to the garage to get the heat & noise out of the house, and I suspect it'd benefit from whatever cooling tweaks I can make once summer hits Las Vegas.

4 antminer in the crates (soon to be cleaned of dust and relocated to the sheving since they are really loud in comparison) plus a bitfury (260Gh) and S1 on the top shelf, plus 5 more on the middle shelf.

The middleshelf has 3 antminers doing 387.5Mhz using a Corsair AX1200 (1205W on 12v) that barley gets warm on a 213V circuit. one of them is looking a bit over 2% hw errors though and will be tuned back to 375 probably

Its 220V. All my power outlets go trough 16A breakers as that is whats costumary here in Portugal. The watt-meter is reading 2650wt. So there is still margin. This circuit is shared with an A+ refrigerator and 2 other unused outlets.
The oven, dish washer and clothe washer have exclusive breakers.

I gotta say im getting a bit tired of the noise... im gettin some scythe ultra kaze 3000rpm for these babies soon...

16A at 220V is a maximum 3500W. Following safety guidelines for <80% load you should not have a constant draw of more than 2800W on it. If your fridge kicks on that would easily add 300-600W of draw but for a fairly short period of time

Your image is 2.6MB, perhaps that has something to do with it, not exactly sure, try a smaller one.

Nice server PSU hookup btw  Wink
