Questiong regarding 2 psu's/powered risers.

Well I am going to need to use a secnd psu. I was wondering if it was safe to only short the 2nd PSU, and not have to wait for an 24pin adapter that starts/stops both at the same time? Also, if its ok to short it, do I first start the shorted one and then my actual rig?

What about risers? I saw some people burned out their risers with 2 psus'. Im planning to mod my unpowered to powered, so should I always connect the molex to my main PSU, and then connect to PCI-E with my 2nd ?

Best is to connect everything to the main PSU and only graphic card power to 2nd. molex is weak...

i have two psu, one is always shorted on green-black and powering two 280x. i'm turning it with the switch before, i'm starting the mobo, and all fine, no risers, i suppose if you have risers, it's better to use mobo psu for them

How many? What kind of cards are you using?

Running 2 7970's atm. Going to add a 5870 so I can get back to mining.

So basically, just power all molex from main psu and start the secnd psu first?
