At the beginning of the year I got into cryptocurrency think I would make a lot of money if I did a ton of research and learned everything about crypto. So I bought $4k worth of bpt and prl. I would say my stack is worth about $1000 now with a 75% loss. Everybody on this forum talked so highly of those coins thinking it would sky rocket one day but they are just getting so low that I know I will never get my money back & I don't want to lose it all. I guess I'm here to say don't trust anybody on this forum that thinks they know what a good coin is and most differently DONT trust any future "10x coin" on here. Truth is this is mostly a game of luck. I'm out, cashing out so I don't lose everything!

It is partly about luck but also about getting the right information to make investment decision. I wouldn't be mistaken if I say that we all lost money in the 2018 bear market but that is how the game works. It will go up again. If I were you, I would buy in again now, and wait for another bull season.  Grin

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

Does anyone remember what 2008 was like? Does anyone remember hearing about 401k accounts losing insane amounts of value? How many people freaked out and withdrew everything from their accounts back then? If they would have just waited it out, they would have earned their funds back and some.

Have some perspective. Selling at a loss at a time where the market is finally consolidating is a bad call. The legitimate currencies will still be around when the dust settles. If you invested for the right reason, you should not be scared. It is why I chose to sink my money in XRP over Bitcoin. I believe this company will survive and XRP will come out leading the pack.
Many do not remember that because the market of cryptocurrencies consist mostly of people under 30 that were not affected directly by the crisis but their parents were, only those that have kept an eye on the economy can remember that, and you are correct but even those that lived through those difficult times most likely have forgotten about it, when the crisis is over us everyone is looking for solutions but as soon as the worst of the crisis goes away people lose interest and want to return to their lives.

If you have lost confidence in the crypto, then cash out to avoid losses is a good thing to do because if you continue to hold in this situation, surely one thing you will lose more because the cryptocurrency rates in 2018 will hardly recover. So that you should sell all cryptos and spend money for other purposes

Well for me this is in your own understanding. You know when to sell and when to hold. If you think you can bear the loss then sell . But if you want a profit them hold and wait for the market to go back to normal. This move can give you profit .

If you get out of the market now you are never going to recover your money, I know that things are not looking good and it is going to take a lot of time for the market to recover but if you get out that will be the end, so you need to really think about it and please do not take a rushed decision, but if you are really convinced to get out of the market then the only thing I can do is to wish you good luck and hope you do well in the next market in which you decide to invest.

Think before sell out your tokens/coins, i think the bear market is almost over and i dont see any FUD news lately.
There are some positive signs and news recently, so dont make decision too quick.
Its not only bpt and prl that were falling , but the entire cryptocurrencies.

It depends of you're in a need of the cash or not right now. IMO you should diversify your portfolio and add more tokens to minimize the risk and invest in projects you believe in.

You made tons of research but ended trusting those who says that this shitcoins will skyrocket?where in the world that thing connect?you just prove that it wasnt the research you've got to believe but the hearsay from the people here whos only making noise for their own coin benefits

Never do this again because failure is what you will face,if i were you I'll accept the loss and sll the remaining then buy another good coin and make this a learn from experience

I don't think you should. It is better to hold now and bitcoin also had it's tragic crashes before. The prices will go green anytime soon because the whales can't let it go down and go down because, in the end, they are not going to benefit from it. You have to keep trusting yourself and your coins or else you're not doing it right.

This is all very situational and there is no universal answer. Therefore it is worthwhile to understand how you will act if everything happens because you do not want it.

Depends on you. Are you ready for a loss or even a price increase. each portfolio must experience a decline and will also definitely increase. we really have to be patient

If your loss is not devastating,  that is,  if your loss is what you can afford,  you can cut your losses by selling fast to avoid more loss!

That's why always say do your own research before investing your hard money, as you already invest in some coin in my opinion don't cashout untill you need of money.

Dude, generally I would only advise cashing out when you see a project has truly failed or if there is a tiny community around it. So if you feel the project will not deliver and not go up then yes take a loss and move positions into something better.

If you need a fiat to start a stable bussiness that will generate you income dont waste your time and cash out now. If not wait at last till January 31 2019 and pray for the market to recover because we all want to make big money for doing nothing!

....i believe the market will recover soon or later but this waiting seriously makes me vomit...

Cashout your money is not a good IDEA becaude you will get back your capital . If you want to get back your money you should hold your bitcoin and relax and wait the price to increase again to earn more money. Need to be patient on this year.

Do not think about "moon" and run after a movement ready to see. Take control of your decision. Courage will not help you get back what you lost. But it is learning to work harder for dreams. Do not really define anything when you do not really understand it.

Consider the opinion of other people but don't go to the extent that you will take their advice without proper research from their shilled project, don't trust your money from random advice from random people online, it's your money you should be more careful, anywhere outside the forum you will encounter tons of advertisers saying their product is great, beneficial, X10 etc but it all starts with your own research and execution.
