I know it's impossible to solve a block on solo mining, but if somehow someone got really lucky, what would be the message be using cgminer? I can't find any documentation on cgminer messages.

Also, even if such a miracle happened, how could cgminer know where to put the coins if all it knows is the local Bitcoin server address and port? I mean, it doesn't know any Bitcoin address - does the server just randomly pick one from your client? Very weird.

if you by any miracle found a block You'll see "Accepted" message like when your shares are accepted and BTC will be stored in your wallet.
since wallet is running in Server mode if block was found all bitcoins are stored on btc address your wallet created when you start your wallet for very first time!

Thank you! That sounds too easy (aside from the impossibility of solving a block in the first place) that it would know to use that first address, but easy is good I suppose.

The reward will show up in an address of bitcoin-qt.  In addition to accepted it'll say *block* in cgminer.
