KYC are done to prevent members of some countries from participating in ICO because it is illegal over there. Does your country permit you to participate in ICO?
in my country there has never been a ban on investing in an ICO or in another Crypto, but the government in my country does not formalize or legalize activities related to crypto.

Here in the Philippines, it is not prohibited to join any ICO, the government is open to the opportunities that a cryptocurrency can do to improve our country. There might be some reason why ICO joining is banned in some countries but government should do the same as Philippines.

in my country crypto is not legalized or prohibited by the government, now the government still has not determined the attitude regarding crypto, but the government in my country only prohibits crypto from being used for direct transactions, if it is used for government investment facilities it still approves.

I don't know what the status is but in my country it's still allowed to trade crypto. although there is no clarity about the status but it is better than being banned.

I now live in Uzbekistan. There are small taxes. Our country did not recognize cryptocurrency. You can participate in the sale of tokens.

in my country crypto is still a polemic that cannot be used as legal certainty or not, because many people use bitcoin while the government prohibits people from dealing directly with bitcoin. this becomes a thing that must be made sure whether legalized or not.

Initially, my country wanted to ban the circulation of cryptocurrencies, but now it is trying to regulate it. Introduces taxes on the withdrawal of Fiat from the exchanges.

There are still governments that prohibits it's citizen from engaging in crypto but don't stop them from investing. They just warn it's citizen that it is risky to invest in crypto. I hope someday our county will realized the advantage of using the blockchain technology in some of it's transactions as it will speed up the process. Now, they have not adapt it but crypto is not illegal either.

Although blockchain is definitely a different thing to crypto, while talking that making this topic out of context I guess you're living in a 3rd world country.
3rd world country tend to refuse a new technology in term of economy because they are too vulnerable because their market capitalisation is kinda low.
not a wrong thing though if it's for the sake of economy stability.

KYC are done to prevent members of some countries from participating in ICO because it is illegal over there. Does your country permit you to participate in ICO?

My country Philippines allow us to participate in any of the ICO, because participating in any form of investments online, is not yet regulated, so people are free from participating in any of it, as long as we are aware of the possible outcome, a loss or a profit, it depends on how you study  in any type.

In my place, the government does not say its legal but they are not also saying that crypto is illegal. They only warned us about and told us to be extra careful when dealing with crypto. I guess they are still trying to figure out what crypto really is, its potential, its possible effect on the economy, and the risk assosiated with it.
