I agree that it isn't very likely to happen... but I think a June/July 2013 type crash is still a possibility. If we scale the numbers for that, we might very well see bitstamp prices in the 300s very briefly. However, I don't think this scenario is very likely to happen, so definitely no bet from me Anyway, I prefer to trade this instead of betting on it...

But I'm really curious to know if that huge dump to 102$ on BTC-E was a fluke (mistake?) or the dumper(s) knew something.

People, please stop proposing bets. This is bitcoin, it can go both up and down a lot.
But I'm really curious to know if that huge dump to 102$ on BTC-E was a fluke (mistake?) or the dumper(s) knew something.

My guess?  Impulse (Panic) selling.  You want to clear out your holdings at the top, so you sell all your BTC at price 1$ and cross your fingers that you were one of the first to do so.  

If enough people sell to 1$ instead of limiting the loss at say, $500, this is what you get.

Some people are going to be very sad today.
