BTC new ATH in 2018

Just for thinking. It is ideal demoralizing conditions atm. A lot of traders lose faith and this is all we need to surprise. But tips are always close. Every time when something goes wrong many of you start to look for answers in charts and usually you find it! But it's too late ...

Probably most of you look at the history chart of BTC market price provided by CMC. That is why many of you think that BTC rising in December 2017 is similar to the rising in December 2013. But CMC chart is limited to May 2013. And not many of you know that before rising in December 2013 there was a serious wave of rising in January-April 2013 when BTC flew from 14 usd to about 200 usd (14x). There were about 7 months between 2 rising waves in 2013.

I am sure that rising in December 2017 is similar to rising in April 2013. There is a great chance that starting from July 2018 btc will go to new (much higher than 20k) ATH. And this new ATH should be in 2018. It will surprise you, won't it?

I find it very difficult to predict future bitcoin prices, but if there is an increase like the years before all those holding the BTC will be very happy because they will have huge profits, and I believe that this can happen, and this is the right time to invest in BTC.

Well,  I think there's a possibility that  bitcoin can surpass it's highest peak on last year 2017. But unfortunately, in our current time we are still suffered from it's long run of dump but don't loose hope because we still have almost  6 months before end of this year so we have a lot of time of waiting to pump. It so good that if bitcoin do the best movement for the next few days and may hoping that it will be the start of it's recovery.

Which crypto forum are you reading?I browse bitcointalk and I can`t find any threads about how "crypto is shit" and "there will be no growth this year".There will be some newbies crying all the time about the btc price no going up,but the experienced traders have patience and know when to buy and sell.

People always try to find out the reasons for the next rise. I think it's pointless to predict the market with historical data. Maybe bitcoin will not rise this year.

To reach a new ATH Bitcoin just needs to grow 3.5 * current price, if it happens in this year I think it will not surprise me because previously this market has already experienced a higher growth than that amount. So I think 3.5 * in the next five months is not a new thing in the Bitcoin market and that's not surprising

well the problem is that "crypto" also includes altcoins and majority of them are actually shit so you can't blame people for making such statements. they are correct in their own way.
but that has nothing to do with bitcoin. although bitcoin price is affected by their dump but it is still separate and is working on its own.

i don't think any real trader has lost faith. only newbies that had their dreams of getting rich in one day shattered have lost faith. others are waiting for a signal.

i don't think any real trader has lost faith. only newbies that had their dreams of getting rich in one day shattered have lost faith. others are waiting for a signal.

The altcoin bubble will pop but not anytime soon, people is still obsessed with finding random coins that go x1000. As long as there is the possibility to make money in the altcoin market there will be an altcoin market.

For 2018 I believe we can have an ATH, it took just days to go from $3k to $20k, so it is definitely possible that FOMO kicks in again this year and we can be there very fast.

What has occured last 2013 which makes you say that it will have a similar situation this 2018? Other than the similar price trend and timeline, are their other factors which has contributed to the price hikes? For last 2018, the price has gone up because of the huge volume of investors suddenly entering the market. There has been some claims discrediting this occurence but IMO its still a factor to the price. Has the same occured last 2013?

Except that all things don't seem to follow what the charts of 2013 suggest. Do note that back then, only a handful of players are in the game, with most of the volume and market movement coming from the big fishes and the Willy bot. Having a market this big with lots of players to dilute the market will be a different scenario, and would surely not replicate what happened in 2013. Also only recently have we blown the ATH on a parabolic rise, and it is highly improbable for the market to reverse the negative trend that easily without reaching the absolute bottom of the parabolic curve. There's still a lot of money left on that ATH that needs to be 'mixed' before the accumulation begins again. Methinks that 2018 will be a lot of false hopes and fake bounces, but certainly not another run to ATH.

I think it's not that improvable. Just news of an ETF will skyrocket bitcoin into ATH again in a matter of days, if not the single day, we may see a mega green candle of dimensions never fathomed before.

It's often forgotten how tiny bitcoin is. Just a small amount of serious capital and it starts hoovering at around $100k. Maths don't lie.

This is what I keep telling for months. The situation we are seeing today is not so dramatic, we got the same story before. The problem is most of the members here are the ones who joined far after 2013. In majority in 2016-2017.
Back in 2013, a lot of people were also saying Bitcoin is dead.
I just don't personally expect to see a new ATH in 2018

You're a lot optimistic maybe too much. Bitcoin price going to $20,000 in a single day is quite impossible. But a day it happens I wouldn't reject it

I think Bitcoin future is bright because I am always analyse the long term relationship so over all result is supporting to future technology. But all the investors expecting quick profit so it is not satisfy on consumer need. I hope end of the year we will expect good result.

What are you suggesting is extremely unlikely.

Bitcoin is much more mature now and the markets are unlikely to see such sudden surges in price anymore, especially when we're talking about 10x gains. I think that what happened in the overheated markets of last year was extremely unusual to begin with. The Jan-April bull run of 2013 only lasted a few months, while this bull market has been going on for 1-2 years already and the big correction has come.

Besides, there is little point trying to correlate individual market events with events in the past and trying to reach a conclusion.

I think that bottom line is that we'll pretty much see only consolidation and sideways movement for the rest of the year. There is no bullish momentum right now in the market, and sentiment is bearish as. It's definitely not time to sell, however. Bear markets are just part of the cycle naturally, no point in panic selling.

Not all investors expect quick profits. It may seem like so, but that's only because of the large number of equal minded noobs pooling their thoughts and motives together here. The far majority of the realistic and long term investors don't bother to share their plan of approach, and why should they? It's none of anyone's business.

Predictions most of the time it can be accurate but a real thing that can happen to it is just awfully bad, Well it is hard to really predict an All Time High for the year of 2018 because the movement of most all coins are very sluggish at the moment and just keeps getting that way, And right now a drop had occur and at the moment bitcoin's value is at $6,202.76 USD if we can hit another bull run this year I really hope it can return back to $10,000 USD again.

I think we’ll end 2018 with the price higher than it is now, how much hogher? I can’t be sure.

We’ll see fireworks in 2020-2021, if you can HODL for a few years & be patient then you’ll make a lot of money.

Sadly, i share your opinion there dude. That december run last year really took it's toll on bitcoin this year and it's basically been bears for the most of it until now. I'm even going to be happy if we break into the 10k mark end of 2018.
