You must earn merit before you can give merit. You currently have earned 0, so you have none to give. For every two merits you earn, you can give someone 1 merit. When you have merit to give, you will see + Merit in the upper right corner of each post.

The idea behind the merit system, is to award people with sMerit for constructive posting. So, you have to post something that someone else will appreciate and then reward you with sMerit. You then learn how the merit system works and what deserve sMerit, based on the sMerit you received.

In essence, before you can award sMerit, you have to earn sMerit.  Wink  If newbies were given sMerit from the start, this system would have been exploited by account farmers that would be giving sMerit from their Sockpuppet accounts to their main account.

Hope that explains it.  Wink

I often saw some very detailed and informative posting but I was wondering how can I give merit to the others? I do not see cannot button about giving out merit to the other?

You can't give what you don't have. So earn atleast 2 merits first before giving 1 smerits to others.

I have 1350 posts and 26 merits. Read my topics and see if I should get the merits

I've read your posts and some should've been merited but that's not how it works. The more you are posting just for the sake of acquiring or getting merits the more you are being ignored and won't receive one.

The idea behind the merit system, is to award people with sMerit for constructive posting. So, you have to post something that someone else will appreciate and then reward you with sMerit. You then learn how the merit system works and what deserve sMerit, based on the sMerit you received.

Even with constructive and better quality posts it's still not an assurance that your post will receive merits. I don't care about ranking up in this forum or getting merits, all I care about is I'm here to take advantage of all useful information that is FREE OF CHARGE that could make me profit or even make me a better person and once I am fully equipped with knowledge on crypto I would thankfully pay it forward to newbies as well in the near future.
