Good evening. My name is Liu Guoping, the founder of Hero Node. I’m very glad to attend this Meet Up at the Blockchain Association today. Next, I’d like to share some of my ideas with you.

Let’s get started with some questions:

What is your understanding of the blockchain?

Or on what issues all of you can reach a consensus?

Consensus is common understanding. Broadly speaking, the students have reached a consensus on getting higher scores, the employees have reached a consensus on the KPI, the retail investors have reached a consensus on making money, the bankers have reached a consensus on hoarding money, and a group of people have reached a consensus on forming smaller groups by drinking and barbecues.

As for blockchain, the truth is that where there is consensus, there is value.

The blockchain is currently in a stage of growth. And you, the young students present here, are the ones who will decide the future of this great, revolutionary technology. I hope after learning about the blockchain, you can reach a consensus that the blockchain tecchnology can make a great contribution to the future society.

If you want to beat the giants, you need to change your way.

I happen to be a witness to the whole process in which the APPs appeared, prevailed, and became an inseparable part in our daily life. The trend of the mobile Internet technology revolution has been pushing everyone forward and bringing us convenience in every aspact. Nowadays, you can simply say that it is just so easy to travel across the country as long as your phone isn’t dead.

And now, my feelings about the blockchain industry are exactly the same as my feelings about the mobile app development 10 years ago.

In the education field, it is believed that all students should be treated equally and teachers should teach students according to their talents and capacity. Strong targeted education and knowlege storage can lead to better future results.

Blockchain is a big risk as well as a big opportunity for many people to take the shortcut to gain fame and fortune. But many people also worry that it might be just bubbles. Aftre an “all in”, the bubbles will eventually burst and what should people do then?

In my opinion, there have been countless events in history to prove that the bigger the innovation, the bigger the bubble.

As a loyal participant in the blockchain world, I can see that the next decade will be DApp’s decade. Therefore, from now on, we must be fully prepared in knowledge and awareness. Stay calm, and wait for chance to come.

Where the spirit of consensus reaches will be the boundaries of the blockchain.

The first gunfire of the Revolution of 1911 broke the boundaries between the old and new era of China. A hundred years ago, the politicians cried for republic government, which had unique advantages at that time but was hard to realize, and it eventually fade away.

Today, technological advances have reshaped the value itself, and social relations have undergone fundamental changes consequently. As far as I’m concerned, the consensus spirit represented by the blockchain is a new concept that surpasses all the traditional values, world, nation, country, and even the law. We can say that the spirit of consensus is to blockchains what the separation of powers is to Montesquieu, or the social contract is to Rousseau.

Great imagination starts from “Hello world”.

What has been mentioned above is more like the comcepts. And many people would think that it’s so metaphysical, which is exactly the proof of the the current status of the blockchain, as it’s also floating in the clouds and cannot come down to earth.

“He would climb the ladder must begin at the bottom.” Every great idea begins with the “Hello World”.
