Well, at that time nobody had thought that the price of BTC would come down to such a low, instead many people thought the price would continue to rise and it would cross more than 50k.

there is nothing wrong with speculation even at that time I was convinced that bitcoin would continue to go to the moon, but in fact the current price fell far short of that estimate, this is the crypto currency. no one can analyze for sure because of the very high fluctuations

I 'm so sorry for your lost but there's is no need over flogging yourself for that.
Many of us made that same mistake .
You can still recover your loss by doing swing trading with the bitcoin you are holding.

Time which is passed can never come again so there is no point in crying over it. Seeing the current prices, many people wished they could have dumped in 2017 but they didn't. Even I am still holding.

Exactly, we need to move as there is another bull run that is coming or has come already, let us people judge the market now.
DEC 2017 was indeed a great moment for us but we got greedy, we didn't sell because we think BTC will rise further, that's a lesson learn
and although we made some regrettable move, life must go on and we should be ready with the next round of bull run.

All people just suffer in that day because they dont even expect that bitcoin will dump at a big price in first month of 2018 but not its a big lesson to me and not gonna happened again.

Just get out of the past and focus on the present. Same thing happened in 2013 when Bitcoin market crashed and the recovery took a long time till recovery so it is better to stay optimistic and wait by holding the coins and wait for the bull again. Do not just stay in the market for monetary benefits. You should be able to see the fame this market has achieved in a short span of time.

No doubt it is wastage of time. Why should not one focus on the present instead? In fact today’s price level in the market is a very lucrative opportunity for investors to invest in the cryptocurrency. The price to invest is low, the prospect of rise in the value is high, people are optimistic and the technology is expanding slowly and gradually so what else does an investor needs from an asset?

Well, that hurts a bit thinking about the whooping profits people could have earned had they cashed their coins back then.

The approach was very rational that is people wanted to get their values maximized but the market somehow crashed and the opportunity was lost. Anyhow, that boom taught us that the market can go high and high beyond our expectations so it is better to hodl in the crypto market.

Wish cannot be reality because you never know what will happen as almost all of us were believing that Bitcoin will hit $30000 to $45000 within that period. It was only few people who were able to convert theirs to cash at the peak of its market value late December 2017.

This is the same feel for majority of the holders as they did not make use of the opportunity to make the most out of the situation when the price touched the all time high valuation and then never thought of booking the profits thinking that the price would go high further, with every rally expect a great fall if the rally was a crazy one, never think twice about booking your profits and let the market goes down and then enter again and wait for the next run.

Indeed, it does not mean that we already loss if we fail to sell it on its best price, we don't have to be greedy, we need to set some price target.
If we miss selling it then that's alright because eventually the price will come back when the market recovers, we will see more adoption to come as this crypto will continue to exist, the development is just right so anytime it could initiate a bull run.
