Hello!

I bought a new nvidia card some months ago, the GTX780 because i mostly use my computer for gaming and I like nvidia for that better (no need to discussion my opinon about that Wink ).

But...

I've also followed the cryptocurrency development since 2011 starting with bitcoin, so i'm also interested in mining. Sadly I missed that train, but now it's entertaining to gamble with the alt-coins.

Im using cudaminer today (many thanks to cbuchner1!) and i'm getting roughly around 620-640KH/s with the latest git-version. Im running Windows 7 x64 with a i7 3930k @ 4.3Ghz, 16GB ram and SSD.

The card is overclocked with ASUS GpuTweak to 1146Mhz/6700Mhz. Pressing it any higher results i BSOD. Temperature is around 80°C and I've tried to raise the PowerTarget and also temperature limit by a few °C.

No, its not GTX 780 Ti. Bought this before Ti was announced.

I use it with the following options:
Code:
cudaminer.new.exe -i 1 -H 1 -l Z12x24

Do you guys have any hints or ideas if it's possible to squeeze some more out of it?

Oh, and I'm talking about scrypt.

Also, running the auto-tuning seems broken atm, i'm getting a lower KH/s when I let it chose.

TL;DR: Running latest git of cudaminer with GTX780, getting roughly 620-640KH/s, is possible to get it higher?

640 seems insane with a 780. I'm running a 770 myself and get 270-300kh/s and I thought that was pretty good...

"I have a potato i grew myself and it's hashing at 900kh/s"

Yeah without any screenshots or explanation this doesn't actually help anyone at all... congratulations though...

I hope you choke on a dick sir.
You claimed that his speeds on the 780 were not doable I was posted that my shitty old 680s were doing much better then your posts on your cards... that is all I dont need to post a screen shot to validate my config.

I never once claimed it was not doable. I am just genuinely surprised at how he got it hashing so well compared to my own figure and wondering where I could improve. Why don't you calm yourself down?

The latest version of Cudaminer seems to contain a HUGE increase in KHashes. My Zotac GTX570 is hashing away at 245KHash, which I never expected from such a mediocre card.

I'm not complaining Smiley Still gotta add a couple of decent Radeons though, and get going for real Smiley

Thanks for the heads up Rit, got another 20 kh/s myself by updating my cudaminer. Looks like another version was released yesterday. It's not a lot but it helps Cheesy

Hugely better. And my card is a Zotac, which has the worst performance for that chip in the list. So doubly surprised and happy.

Why all this hate and disbelief? Try the latest version yourselves...

I didn't think a screenshot was relevant, but here it is.

Try the 12-18-2013 build. It does run hotter, but as long as you keep your fan on high, it's fine. I forgot at one point and my temps ran to 90-95C which led to the card frying itself. After I reballed it, I didn't forget again Smiley With fan at 85%, my GTX570 is hashing away at approx 245Kh at 65C, which is perfectly acceptable.
