Today bitcoin is $6,655. This price is keep on crashing but I could not deny the fact that this situation is very attractive to everyone who really wanted to have bitcoin on their pocket from the lower price while others are being panic. Let us wait how these interested buyers will change the situation.

There is nothing wrong that happening.

Prices usually will move sideways instead of anything vertically just before a major change in the market comes in, whether that's a pump or a dump. And seeing bitcoin moving between a small window and consolidating is only normal.

However, due to the fact that the $6.7k support has been broken, don't expect the prices to stay put for too long. The market should continue its pattern of dipping soon, and especially if $6k support is breached, be expecting an irrational panic dump.

Theres the change in the price, and it hurts, 1500 dollars lost in a few days, people are nuts calling 100 billion gold like asset a bubble.

Well, it is usual for it to hurt and those that feel hurt about it should simply just find a way to learn how to trade. It used to hurt me before but rather than feeling the hurt, I realized there was just one solution to it and that is to learn how to take advantage of those situations and now I take is as it comes with no sweat at all. What is important is to try to understand the market and know there is just so little we can do sometimes than just to play along with it in our own best way that will pay us in the future.

As of now, market started to show some recovery which means we may see the first bounce back after a worry-filled down fall. I am happy from yesterday as those support levels around $6200 are still working stronger to make prices to turn back. I am expecting now market to move up to $9800 levels in coming weeks.

If you cannot take the loss today you are dealing with then just try to read different positive speculations because it was normal for the price to decrease in a huge amount since last year, it managed to reach $20k dollar so i believe that it was normal to drop this low today.

It may be due to Ramzan festival, the Islamic people cash out their Bitcoin for their biggest festival might be the reason for the dip in Bitcoin price and the price will get stabilized post their festival. There may be some more reasons for the dip in price of Bitcoin but to my knowledge this one is supposed to be the reason behind the fall of Bitcoin price.

That's was yesterday, as SEC said that ETH and BTC is not a security, however, nothing was mentioned about ERC20 and more interesting what will come about the taxes, to you pay taxes as on income or growth of capital like later on, and when.. once you convert it only to fiat. Also, the interesting question stays, that they wanted to charge yearly, while you hold the tokens... A lot of things have to be cleared still, but SEC is on the right path but is not in a hurry. With such news on the bullish market, everything would likely rise 30% or so...

It has a reason they don't want to be clear about certain aspects of this market, which is that they don't want to contribute to even more growth while there is so much to catch up on for them. It has made China force through severe regulations because they just couldn't cope with the growth. On the other hand, the US has remained quite friendly overall, which I didn't expect initially. I hope this friendliness will result in an ETF this year, which should be no problem considering all measures largely preventing investors to lose out are in place. I know of ETF's that expose investors to way higher risks, and these are no problem for them, so the SEC should stop being a hypocrite....

I believe that the hacked in South Korea is the major reason why bitcoin is going down  and since this is not related to a pre-planned something I think bitcoin is going to get it losses back and resume the little upwards movement it was having.  I also think that this gives an opportunity for new investors to invest into cryptocurrencies.

I don’t think so because many people do not know about that hacking. The main reason I think is market manipulation. When there are whales in this market we will never make money from bitcoin investment. Just single hacking cannot affect the price to this extent. This is something else that we don’t know about, but hope for better time in the near future.

No, there is nothing wrong with bitcoin, at all.

Prices are first of all usually pretty stagnant in a bear market, compared to in a bull market anyways. Plus, prices were and still are simply consolidating at this $6.5k-ish level before moving, which is pretty characteristic of any falling market encountering support or resistance (in this case, support).

I wouldn't expect any sort of bullishness right now. Prices are unlikely to get pumped overnight as some people may suggest. In fact, I believe that there will probably be further dips coming our way before prices hit rock bottom.

In my opinion the price is almost stable and there is small changes which steps downwards. I also expect more dip in the price in the coming days. I will never invest in bitcoin in such conditions because there are lots of alternates available in the market which are quite good for investment instead of bitcoin. For me bitcoin these days are a waste of time and money.

And a few days after you opened this thread, the price seems to go down to as low as $6K-$6.2 and now we are hovering the $6.5 range. What went wrong? Well, there's a report that a South Korean exchanges was hacked, sending another shock wave that causes the price to go down because of panic and eventually we hit another low for this year.

But just like other market crashes we have seen, its better to not opt out at this point because once everything has settled down. We have see some recovery on its way. It's just the timing was so bad because we have been in this bear market for all eternity and it seems it will not end. But anyways, I urge everyone to remain positive and keep HODLing.

I think OP is looking at some fake set of data.  If you're going to speculate on price, you should at least know what it is.

If you look his posting history you can see he is wrong in almost everything, he does not really understand some basic things and most of his post are just FUD and some crazy wish that BTC will go to 2000-3000$. All that in combination with gold/silver theories which go 40-50 years back in history. He is mostly posting here, since there is no moderator for Economy board this is a good place for such posting.

Price of BTC is always changing, actually every minute or second depending where you monitor price, totally worthless thread, another in a series...

I think the market had been quite stable since yesterday. So, we should just wait for what will happen next in the market. The market had been bearish, so it's difficult to predict whether if it will keep on dipping or if the market will recover somehow the next day.

People panicked because they never opened the history of the charts, let's say it is now 4 months ago where prices range from $ 5.8k to $ 6k. So there is nothing wrong with this, the price just goes down as usual.

Fewer transactions? it is more like there's a lot of transactions converting to fiat or USDT pairs, it bounces around 6k so anything is possible as it can go down to 5k as the prediction of some people here or it gonna push back to 7k somehow this month, expect the market turn around it may be a positive or a negative trend to the market price of all cryptocurrency.
