Hi is anyone interested in a raffle for 1 Btc. Im asking 0.05 Btc for a chance of winning 1 BTC.
all you need to do is pay 0.05 Btc to the following wallet 15uStCSRb2qLjBDXFDcddutXU7CjcCido2 and then send me a Pm telling me you have paid with the proof and on wednesday 5th Feb 2014 at 11pm Uk time I will choose the lucky winner at random from the Pms's and send them the winning 1 BTC. This is not a con or a scam just an idea that could be good for you and myself Tongue.

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

How will you choose the winner?

How are we to know that you won't just make a new profile and choose yourself as the winner?

How about this, you pick a winner based on txid, or some other method.  You create a sha256 hash of the data and publish it before hand.  Everyone pays to the escrow agent including you for the 1B.  Once it's time for the prize to be awarded you post the winner and the hashed data for verification.  The escrow agent sends 1B to the winner and the total raffle amount to you.

Yeah I think i started this idea all wrong, but I do think its a good idea as long as its set up right.

Please everyone do NOT send any bitcoins to the address.

I will try and set this all up properly this week and maybe even make the prize a much bigger amount which would generate a lot of interest.

Maybe this forum itself could have a weekly raffle to help in supporting  its running costs etc. it would be good fun Im sure, I for one would buy a chance to win.

The forum is supported by donors <- ME -> and by ads which are auctioned weekly.

I like your idea.  Just needs some more pre planning.

I had an idea for making a provably fair raffle if you are interested. There would be no way you could possibly know the outcome.
