People thinking they sound pro as fuck and big time. "Buy the dip bro" which one? The One from 20k to 18k? Maybe the 18k to 16k? Or are we talking about the 16k to 14k dip? no wait. Maybe you are on about the 14k dip to 12k. Or is it the 12k dip to 10k? Nah I got it. You must be on about the 10k dip to 8k cause you pro right. Oh no. Now it's the 8k to 6k dip.

The comments are cringey as fuck again I see. Kids still trying to sound pro as fuck. Anyway. Leave you to it. Just remember. If you know fuck all about trading. Just use random overly used phrases you come across on Facebook. "Buy the dip" "weak hands sell". That'll convince everyone you know what you are on about. I see all those other dip buys worked out well.
Now 6700$ to 4k$, than 4k$ to 1$ and  1k$ to 500$, and again People thinking they sound pro as fuck and big time.

Chill out and leave this forum if you don't like something. Of course it can go under 1k, technically it can go to near 0 tomorrow, so what? Just don't put in more money that you can lose and you'll be able to enjoy it no matter what happens with it.

Well I dind't see that coming  Huh. A price of 1k is not yet in sight, but if we keep on dropping, ...
A good time to buy some more, but I always say that when a drop is happening and lately we have seen a lot of drops  Grin.

BIG WINNER!

Oh fuck off No Coiner
I wonder if he literally bought during the said dips.

He is worrying about others but it's question if he has some bitcoin's on hold.

"Buy the dip bro"
Name your price and that's possible for the dip or pump but you are expressing yourself boldly and you're obviously holding no coin at all.

Have you bought the dip bro?

I completely agree with you.

I am always rolling my eyes (to say the least) when I read predictions of 30k / 50k by the end fo 2018 or 2019.

Btw ... we just went below 6,5k

So what? we're already in a bear market, prices are expected to go down. I wouldn't be surprised if we go below 6k, bearish sentiment just keeps spreading thoughout the whole market every day. Btw, the 30k-50k at the end of the year predictions do sound a bit far-fetched...but for the next year, I wouldn't dismiss those price ranges.

...
You know how long it takes to simply double $10k in an index fund? About 7 years.
...

I think you overestimate the returns of index funds. The resent surge in
index fund investments has taken place during a bull market after the
2008 financial crisis. Therefore the returns are probably skewed to the upside,
because they wouldn´t be as good during a bear market. I´d even argue that a
future financial crisis could be worse due to ETFs, because they misallocate
capital.

Regarding the actual thread topic I really doubt that Bitcoin will drop that low.
The miners are heavily incentivized to prop up the price way before this price level is
reached. The cost for this is negligible due to the small amount of Bitcoin that is
actually relevant for price discovery at the exchanges.

looking at how people totally reject this idea confirms how probable this proposition might actually be.

It's important to understand that buying dips doesn't mean you should buy every dip.

These are the main dips that I bought so far:

$10,000-$11,500 (used 5% of my balance)
$8000-$9000 (used 10% of my balance)
$7000-$8000 (used 10% of my balance)
$6000-$7000 (used 15% of my balance)

Note that I am buying back with funds that are from selling during the rally in December of last year. The lower the price is going down, the more coins I will obtain. I have 60% in balance left. Smiley

Agreed, usually pros instead of talking much, do their job, that's the difference if we compare them to silly ones. But usually such threads are created because people can't imagine fall under some line, when it happens, they create new thread again like you mention from 10 to 8, from 8 to 6 and etc. Btc can go under 1K but it can also rise up to 20k, for me bitcoin can always rich it's highest price, it's like a rule.

Haha, yeah. I was being generous.  Although ~6.5 years is how long it has taken the Dow Jones index to hit 100% returns today. From Jan 23, 2012 to today, to be exact.

Bitcoin returns over the same period are 116,240%.

Of course you can now made up a statement like that because you know now what happened.

Can you make the same reasoning prior to what will happened? Do you really think that if people knows what will happened they will buy the dip during 18k to 16k or 14k to 12 and so on? They challenge the risks that's why others buying the dips and obviously no one knows what will happened back then.

Now again, we don't know what will happened. Should we buy the dip today? Or wait for more dip? Not making sense. If you understand the risks then go f*** the market and hold some btc.

What if the price goes down more? Then so be it.

what do you think about bitcoin prices will go that far, bro! I never thought the bitcoin price came back to its origin and you mentioned $ 1000.
This strand is very much catch one's eyes to see it. indeed now the price continues to decline and experience a long correction. but, I think this is cross your finger for the future, so buy as much bitcoin as much as you can and you will feel the benefits doubled in months and years to come.

Some events come in the year in which many people withdraw their bitcoin and use them for their event to celebrate. I think because of the Muslim Eid after a few days they need money for it to celebrate and because of that the price of bitcoin is reducing. It was also happened in the last year and in the year before that. AFter that the price of bitcoin will again start to increase.

I think it will never happen for this year, bitcoin is unlikely to fall low at 1k. Bitcoin has the highest population and it is not possible to make bitcoin fall to such a low price.

It will never happen as even before bitcoin rallies started price was around 5000 dollar level, this means dropping below will be very shitty for miners and they are very likely to not allow it at all. In my opinion.

Yeah, everything could happen in btc but price going under $1k seems a little bit too much. I'm no expert but for me more or less than $5k is the lowest that btc can. Everyone has their own prediction and they tend to follow their own rather than believing on others.

Well people nowadays is always claiming their selves as an expert without specific reference about their speculation , which is always spreading false news and predictions without knowing it can cause dumping in the market.  Anyways i suggest to ignore those kind of expectations, 'cause in fact 7k is the new bottom price on this bearish , wherein it has a strong support nowaday and the fluctuation can't break that price.  So just relax and wait for it to bounce back instead of seeking false prediction.

I think it will never happen for this year, bitcoin is unlikely to fall low at 1k. Bitcoin has the highest population and it is not possible to make bitcoin fall to such a low price.

So many people predicts that the correction happening now will became a 2014 dilemma, But this thing is so far to imagine since as we see we are actually at little peak which bitcoin has been known by the mass internationally, Maybe we experiencing some huge dumps lately but I still believe that their will be a good lift will be happen on Q3 until the year ends come on it.

If it goes to $1K from $20K then I am pretty sure it will be long dead.

Nobody will invest in it because they will pull up a chart and see that it was $20K and less than a year later went to $1K. Nobody wants a 95% loss.

Look at how much money was thrown at the different bitcoin services and exchanges... do you think they would let BTC go down that low and ruin their investment? No.

Basically every month everybody is bearish... then 4 weeks later everybody is bullish... and rinse and repeat over and over again.
