A new cyber threat on the block that is more slippery than anything we have observed before has emerged and that's why it's currently the malware of choice for hackers all over the African continent.

Even though cryptocurrency-mining malware is comparatively fresh on the cybercrime landscape, it’s still the giant malware in the major markets in the whole of Africa for some months.

Poor African people. Scammers must have known how those countries like Nigeria who don't like updating their windows version with the latest ones.

There is a need to educate people about blockchain in such countries so that they can be protected against such malpractices. Blockchain education is the need of the hour.

Poor African people. Scammers must have known how those countries like Nigeria who don't like updating their windows version with the latest ones.
I'd guess that most Nigerians don't update because they bought their copy of windows on a CD from a peddler.
People who are earning less than $10 a day, are not able to afford legit software, that's the beauty of this world Sad On the other hand in those poor countries most hardware is outdated and won't be able to contribute a lot of mining power, even if it gets infected.
