Miner on an usb flashdrive

Heard form a friend that he was able to get his hands on a miner that you have on your usb flashdrive and you can start mining on computers with restricted admin configurations.

What this means is he goes to his local library, puts in the usb flash drive in the computers and they start up a miner that mines cpu/gpu on a certain % (so that normal users using the pc's for surfing won't notice any lag) and he does this on 30-40 pcs, all mining litecoins or whatever for him day and night (since the pc's are on 24/7).

Anyone heard of this? Is it available for download anywhere?

Not by itself. CGMiner isn't malware (though it's often mislabeled as such by AV programs). You'd need to figure out how to elevate the permission level of the CGMiner instance. Not my area, though. You'd probably get slapped with a felony charge if in the US since it's not a matter of if it's discovered, but when.

How would they know who has implemented the miner on the pc's?

USB drives are physical, so you'll need to physically take them in. It's easy enough to grab the time of when specific changes to the PC were made, so you'd just have to match the time with security cameras or witness reports. Since the software needs a pool address and credentials, it's also possible (unlikely) it could be traced back to you that way.

 I also interested on this but I doubt if can be track on who installed it especially if you are using different wallet on each machine and beside we are only filling out our wallet address and not our email
