decent, cost effective 240v surge protector in the US?

Does anyone know where I can find a decent, cost effective 240V surge protector?

I have a dedicated 100 AMP panel for mining equipment, and am going to upgrade some of the outlets from 120v to 240v in order to double the amount of wattage I can run at one time. I think I need to add some Nema 6-20R or Nema L6-20R outlets (probably 5 outlets on 5 20 amp breakers, but maybe 10 outlets on 5 20 amp breakers), but the 240v surge protector situation has me very confused.

There appear to be very few good 240V surge protector choices in the US, and I don't really want to invest a lot of money in UPS backups. The one decent option I was able to find below may work, but it only supports 9 AMPS. I suppose it isn't too bad but was wondering if there was a better option.

  How many joules does that protector claim to absorb?  Typically destructive surges are hundreds of thousands of joules.  How many joules in that protector's specs?

  That type protector is for people who want the phrase 'surge protection'.  And do not really ask for effective protection.  To few consumers want a 240 volt version.

  A useful recommendation will say where hundreds of thousands of joules harmlessly dissipate.  Only solution used in any facility that cannot have damage is an earthed 'whole house' protector - not that Tripplite.  An effective protector connects low impedance (ie 'less than 10 feet') to earth.  Is connected to all incoming AC lines (does both 120 and 240 volt protection), and protects all appliances.

  More responsible companies provide these superior (and less expensive) solutions including Siemens, Syscom, General Electric, Intermatic, Polyphaser, ABB, Square D, Ditek, and Leviton to name but a few.  Companies well known for quality and integrity.  A Cutler-Hammer solution is available even in Lowes and Home Depot.

  No protector does protection.  Effective protectors are defined by what absorbs hundreds of thosands of joules.  To make that low impedance (ie 'less than 10 foot') connection to earth, these superior products are located in a main breaker box or on meter pan.  Even AC utilities can install one behind their meter.  Located here because that connection and distance to earth is critically important for effective protection - for all 120 and 240 volt appliances.

  'Whole house' protector is always implemented in every facility that cannot have damage.
