Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Hi everyone,
I was out of the loop for a while... so the last thing I know about my personal sumokoin is that I bought more of it on an exchange (livecoin) and left them there. Now I checked and nothing can be done with it, trading is OFF, as well as deposits and withdrawals...visiting the forums I found that this hugely promising project became a huge failure....Thanks to you who are making the effort to bring this project back on its feet. May I ask what would happen to sumokoin of the people like me which were left like in livecoin exchange...I mean with all the plans here, will they be usable again? Thanks!

It's cool to see the news updated from Dev . Sumokoin has gone back and run well on the new wallet . while waiting for some exchanges returning back , I will mine some coins to hold it and Maybe it will bring me back some profits .

New version of the Sumokoin GUI Wallet released! Please get it from:https://github.com/sumoprojects/SumoGUIWallet/releases/tag/v0.1.0IMPORTANT - PLEASE NOTE - Due to radical changes in Akita code base, old wallet files are not compatible with this GUI wallet version, therefore user needs to restore wallets from mnemonic seeds. - Seed words in German, Russian, Spanish, Japanese and Chinese don't work with Windows builds (yet). Please use Mac/Linux builds instead.

Topia (thus far the only real exchange that has hosted sumo - indo is getting there) wallets have been down for near 2 months.
Might be a good idea to make a statement on the official ANN regarding a small thing like that -.-
Due to new wallet? Intending on re-activating listing?

All exchanges were offline for a few weeks. Our code rebase is finished and exchanges are informed. Tradeogre and Indodax updated their daemons and are live again. Cryptopia and Livecoin seem to need more time. However those are their internal processes. They have been informed and need do their part of the process.
If you want to show them that there is a high demand for Sumo to go live again, feel free to contact their support.
We hope they will go live next soon, but we don't have an ETA.

Trading on livecoin is not offline. Only depo/with is. I assume they will open depo/with soon, but we have no ETA.
@dogi6818: as we often said: we asked topia to open trading, like we did with all exchanges. If you want them to open faster, feel free to write to their support.
