Domino's Pizza Shames Government by Fixing Potholes

Domino's Pizza is helping cities fix potholes to provide a smoother ride for the driver delivering your pizza.

The pizza giant's PR campaign also serves as a public service because damaged roads neglected by the government tear up your food as well as your car.

"Potholes, cracks, and bumps in the road can cause irreversible damage to your pizza during the drive home from Domino's," the promotional website reads. "We can't stand by and let your cheese slide to one side, your toppings get un-topped, or your boxes get flipped."

"So we're helping to pave in towns across the country to save your good pizza from these bad roads."

Ingenious marketing idea, they're even branding all the potholes they fix, let alone the international publicity they're getting. Wouldn't be surprised to see more companies getting in on the act. Not exactly a ringing endorsement of government though.

Ughh. Don't think so.
Not that they wouldn't want to stop it, but they're going to lose some votes if they do.
The people like their roads good  Cheesy

This demonstrates how we cannot always rely on the government to solve our problems. Sometimes, it is more efficient to take matters into our own hands --especially when it comes to saving the environment.

What do the roads have to do with the environment though?

I wish they would do that here, the local councils are incapable of maintaining the roads.

^^^ But, but, but... Pizza prices will go up to support this, but do you think that taxes will ever come down because they don't have to support it?

I have seen this somewhere already, they even have an internal camera inside the pizza box, that shows how bad the food gets trown around and ruined due to bad road. Who cares about the fact that cars are broken by potholes every day and thousands of dollars are spent by the population to fix it, right? Also these kind of potholes cause car accident and may cost people's lives. But no, it is only important that your pizza is safe!
On a more serious note, whoever came up with this idea is a genius, he should get a raise. So many people talking about Domino's all of a sudden. Sometimes I wish that some cryptocurrency companies tried these kind of tactics, to somehow show everyday people that cryptocurrencies can be extremely beneficial to our lives in many ways. What do you think are some of the tricks that crypto could use to market itself to broader audiences?

Haha, I think this is a great idea! It's not that common to see companies being so active at helping the community. It's funny that it happened in the US, as I think many people outside the US have this image in their mind that everything works so well there. The roads must be so great. But, as we can see from this story, that's certainly not true. I know that lots companies to charity work, but it usually doesn't seem so tangible. Well, at least we don't see it. Maybe Domino's set an example that other companies will copy and we'll have some mutually beneficial ad campaigns. We get something, like better roads, and they get exposure.
