Thought this was a very good, concise read about how the economy is changing in a big way with the help of Bitcoin and 3D Printing.  Pretty awesome to have 3DPrint.com talking about Bitcoin in my opinion....

3d printing is revolutionary

It seems like its virtually possible to make ANYTHING out of 3D printers.  It'll be a matter of time before you'll be able 3D print living organisms, and people, etc.

I'd prefer matter energy replication but a step in the right direction nonetheless.

imo, 3D printing is the robotics of the the 21st century.  Remember how they were going to do all those everyday labour saving jobs in TV programmes from the 60's 70's 80's?  Yet dispite being in manufacturing for decades, they are only now beginning to deal with the complex and the common household tasks, and still generally research "toys".  3D printing will be the same, they will address some niches, but their potential is several decades away.  Probably wont ever replace mass manufacture of most products, you'd need too many "ingredients".

Psssh that 3d printed gun is SO outdated. Wink So many better ones out now, literally dozens!

Also, as a 3D Printer owner I need to clear up the myth that making things is easy and instant. NO IT IS NOT. Expect many failures and many hours to get a good print. And lots of hardware issues. But it is fun, and once you get a particular print calibrated its pretty easy to make more.
