Buy coin half a year, money is loss-making, but recall to rise, discover to lose money also have law, summary is as follows

1. Holding the currency for too short a time: considering that it's not unusual for a digital currency to rise 30 percent or more a day, I bought it decisively when the currency was up 5 percent, causing me to buy it high. One day by the same token, the prices halved abound, so I will be selling low, this is the direct cause of the loss of 3 months before, but the deep-seated reason is that cash loss time too short, review previous course will find that the same digital currency, as long as the hold time is long enough (generally more than 3 months), so big probability can be profitable, a digital currency the top flange rare loss is also easy to control within 50%

2. Buy bitcoins: after careful observation, almost all bitcoins except BCH (bitcash) have been halved in price before being halved , this kind of money often have huge zhuang, trading volume is far less than total digital currency (a lot of money in the project team or similar staff's hands, bit by bit), these digital currency, mostly buy is deficient

3. Sell have loss money in cash, buy may jump in digital currency: exchange generally do not have free money, also don't want to charge more money in, and see which currency may jump, hurriedly sold the losses in the currency in money to buy, results in a yarn, so little by little kui, 100 yuan a month after they became 30;

Well you know the best thing is that's it's an investment and you cannot lose money or be in any loss until you sell the Bitcoins you own.
I understand it's been bad for the holders but you know we have seen such instances numerous of times and what the history has taught us is to keep hope for longer time and it will bear fruits soon enough.
Also you can always earn money from active trading .
Passive holding is something that is good only for the long run most of the times.

this is not a "currency" nor is it "bitcoin" that you are talking about here. this is the pump and dump shitcoins that you are describing here. they go up suddenly and drop big in a short time. if you can't handle this manipulation then stay away from the altcoin market but if you can there is a lot of profit to be made from the newbies who bag hold.

there is only one bitcoin. there are no others!!!
and bitcoin cash has dropped more than half, in fact it has dropped a lot. it used to be $4100 and now it is worth $870 that is -78.7% drop

Why did you buy BTC in the first place? Probably because you expect it to rise in the future? If so, then don't sell! The people who get screwed up in the cryptocurrency space are the people who only wants to make a quick buck.

Seriously I don't know how "buy low, sell high" is too hard to understand for some people.

That is the result if you bought because of Fear of Missing Out! The time you bought your coins was the time it was on peak. All you need to do is hold because the losses you just have today is just paper loss. It will be an actual loss the moment you sell it. Next time, buy during the FUD and sell during FOMO.

Lolz. Indeed this is the case. Even yesterday I suggested same thing to many people who said, I came to crypto started to make trades around and lost money when I sold at low. If you were supposed to sell at low then you dont understand a bit of the crypto currencies.

There is simplest formula, have them bought at bottom, wait for the right opportunity to come up front and just sell when the crypto price has risen more than your bought price. Really simple. Its just that they are sacred of loosing when crypto start falling, but such people never tend to get money back.

You should wait and hold till you get the price which may nearly or fully compensate it.

I would say really its very bad and discouraging, but all I can say is that patience is needed in this investment space to make profit. This times are really hard and holding now seems a bad thing. I believe good times are coming and only patient ones will enjoy it.

I can suggest you to pursue with option 1 and 2. Just keep waiting and the patience will pay off eventually. If you can’t wait so long, keep buying more so you average the price down. Hence, it will take less time to be profitable when there would be an eventual price recover.

You haven't lost anything until you sell. People often compound their mistakes with more mistakes, they buy high and then they sell low. Right now most people would agree the price is low and that the long-term trend will be upwards so don't sell.

Agree then sell low, mostly of the newbies tend to panic when the price got low or got dump then they will sell their coins. Now the purpose why you buy bitcoin is to gain profit but the price  now is low  of what price youve bought the bitcoin , thats life it is not always pumping , there are really times that it dumps a lot now we could guaranteed that it would be back but we dont know the exact date , now  are you willing to sell it if in the near future it could double your money or sell it now then loss a -50% of your money

My advice is just to take your time and be patient what ever you do. And obviously invest with money you can afford to lose.

You will not lose anything if you keep on holding your coins even the market keep on falling because from falling it will rise and you will gain profit if you have a lot of patience. If you hold for long term you will surely earn but if you panic because you see market slowly drop down then you decide to sell all your coin in a cheaper price then surely you lose your coins instead of gaining a profit.

what you do and what kind of strategy you choose to make profit depends on what you believe in and what works best for you.
my analysis tells me that bitcoin has a very good long term potential and i also am better investing in long term in bitcoin so that is what i do.
it also tells me that altcoins don't have the potential in the long run so i  never stick around in any of them for long. i stick to short term trading of altcoins because i do believe that's where the profit is.

Honestly, I would go for the first option. Just look at the historical price of Bitcoin and many other cryptocurrencies. Pumps and dumps are something normal at this point because cryptocurrency market is still too small to resist manipulations. However I doubt that it will crash because of many famous people supporting cryptocurrencies. Give it a few more months and then decide whether or not you should sell it.

half a year ago means you bought it on december 2017, when it was the peak point.
You should buy bitcoin when the price is low, not high. If you bought it earlier, you would not loss.
for me, i do the safe : buy when low, and sell when high. Other than that, it will risk me to getting loss later.
