Yes ofcourse 2017 starting was not good to bitcoin, but at the end of the year it was an amazing growth in bitcoin. Likewise 2018 starting itself the price of bitcoin is not good. It faces lot of dips only, it struggles to reach the normal value itself. All are expect june starts the price will have increase but it does not happen. Normally first half of the year the price would not grow second half it starts to increase. After a long time today market starts with green hope incoming months the price will increase and by the end of 2018 it will be the bitcoin year.

After 2017 was a happy year for bitcoin...

was a very good year indeed, several things happened at the beginning of the year 2017 but the turnaround of the end of 2017 was unforgettable.

What does the second half of this year disappoint us You will wake up bitcoin again...

Well, it is not as if bitcoin was disappointing us, we can not forget that the price of bitcoin is more than  $6000 and that is a high price if we compare with the price of last year in the same month. Moreover, this pressure that the governments are imposing, will not be forever. Eventually many governments will take softer measures in relation to bitcoin and this will bring more demand and the price of bitcoin will increase

We cannot use past performance to try to predict the future performance of bitcoin, it is true that in the last year things started slowly, but the main difference was the developers got segwit activated despite the opposition of the miners and the many hard forks that followed, this was what created the bull market and now the circumstances are completely different.

I do not know real reasons why BTC has fallen down but surely there are objective reasons. For example, I do not know any asset which grown as fast as BTC. It is possible that there is the long correction and stabilization of BTC price to find its real value.
I consider that BTC should cost more so I have bought BTC in hope on the new similar huge growth.

There's some altcoins that have grown too quick as they follow the path of bitcoin. Bitcoin is bring up all the coins inside the crypto market to go up when it goes up.

It is possible that there is the long correction and stabilization of BTC price to find its real value.

I consider that BTC should cost more so I have bought BTC in hope on the new similar huge growth.

Bitcoin is striving and making its best to bounce back it's price from low to high. Upon entering 2018, Bitcoin experience rough times because of the price that goes low. But as of now Bitcoin is still making its price to $6000, not bad enough cause it is still high compared to other coins. Other coins like Bitcoin is striving too to attain the goals for everyone. To provide great results and high price to their investors but in the industry of crypto still we are talking about currency and it is just a part of it that price goes up and down. Hopefully Bitcoin will continue to survive and revive it's price this year, giving us a favorable result with higher price.

Bitcoin price falls from $20K to less than $6500, loss over 50% of its value.

The high value of bitcoin seems to me a disservice to bitcoin. The high price serves the interest of speculators and not the users. So if there will be mass adoption and usage, then the price should be acceptable. And the acceptable price cannot be the high of 2017.

Do you know why bitcoin users is a happy creature? Because of funny moments like this. Collapse, bubble and end of it can even be in the Guinness book of world record in titled,  “ even most used word in 2018 @bitcointalkforum” and the representative are mostly newbie accounts or new investors.

Bitcoin won’t be measured by its price alone and those worrying statements can’t help the community. Stand or run that’s the only choice you can make.

In my opinion bitcoin is prevailing in the world with the passage of time and after some time you will see that the whole world is investing in bitcoin. In the last one year investment cap of bitcoin grew many times because now people come to know about cryptocurrency and bitcoin and they invested in it. The end of 2017 was the peak and 2018 till date is not good for bitcoin.

As you said, 2017 beginning was not good. if we compare it was like 2018 and the last of 2017 was a happy ending. Day by day BTC facing hard to hard political or Govt. problem. But we hope BTC will cover the lack of ratio. We are watching all the issues. We will see BTC great movement soon.

I think on the while 2017 was very good from 2018 so far because the price collapsed in the start of this year and still below $7000, while predictors said that in 2018 the price will be minimum $30000, but till date there are no signs of big pump in the price. Now I think that till December this year if the price reaches $10000 it will be enough.

I think this year is the most terrible time for crypto and that almost everyday bitcoin is dropping including other cryptocurrency which is known and expensive.

Starting from 2018 until now is the worst thing for bitcoin compared to 2017 yesterday was very good and a lot of extraordinary improvement though step by step but reached a very high price.
I hope bitcoin in this year could be like last year.

This year 2018 has become a test for strength in bitcoin and I believe that if bitcoin succeeds in recovering from current levels then it can be considered that the test for strength has been passed. And after price of bitcoin can grow to more than 20K.

Everything is really unpredictable, sometimes we guessing it easily without thinking that reality is not like what is predicted, it is always like expecting something that's not certain yet, everything back to the time, the time will answer that accompanied by the things that can affect it. That's true, bitcoin in mid-Dec 2017 was the coolest price for bitcoin because it reaches the highest amount of all time. We didn't expect this will happen but I think that time has the biggest investors and after earning a lot of bitcoin they've sold it immediately, I've also heard some news that there are a lot of scammers using bitcoin to scam some big investors to invest with their fake company, and some investors believe that their money will make them double or triple which is not true, I think this is also why bitcoin gets high for a fast way and then dump in the fastest way also.

At the end of 2017 the value of bitcoins reached at the highest position.
No one expected such types of growth of bitcoins.  It was really unbelievable .
It continued at the first two months of 2018.
But after few month later and the mid of 2018 it started to decreasing instead of increasing.
It is expected after few month later or at the last of 2018 the value of bitcoins will be high position again
