Why don't you just sell your crypto and buy that laptop. I bet you can choose a good laptop in  your local market after selling your crypto unless if your crypto has no value and never put to an exchange then probably that is a problem of course. You should consider doing good here in the bitcoin forum so that you will able get some good friends here .

Why re-enter the fiat currency system when you can purchase a laptop directly for bitcoin ?
OP didn't talk about value. You, sir, are off-topic.

Yup he have chosen a more complicated solution to his problem and worst is his 1k might even get scammed if it is not escrowed.
Yogg is right. There's no point returning to fiat. Bitcoin was created to be used as a means of payment without the need for a financial intermediary. There's no way it will happen if supposed Bitcoin enthusiasts keep referring to fiat.

Gaming laptops go for about $800 to $1000 or even more, while the purse.io option might look like another good alternative, his Amazon wish list might end up not being picked up due to the high amount. Most purse.io biitcoin earners are non-US Amazon mturkers trying to quickly  cash out their Amazon gift card credits which usually range from $35 to $200 to settle bills.

Rarely will a non-US mturker wait long to accumulate $1000 since tasks are usually few for non-Us turkers, only to go ahead and lose 30% or more of it at purse.io.
