this has been an interesting discussion to read. I dont have much in BTC but man, its hard to watch it drop and not panic sell but when it goes back up, you want to HODL for that 20k mark to come back around... its a vicious circle, man.

I would just continue to hold my bitcoins as i expect that it's price would soon recover.So no matter of panic selling.

I panic when the price of bitcoin is so low that it makes me think if I should already sell all of the bitcoin I have. During that moment, I tend to sell some of it and regret it later when I see that the price changes to higher amount than the value I sold it. It's price is normally getting low and getting high sometimes.  We just do not know if when we should really sell it but it is better if we had a good timing to sell it during its peak price just like last year.

If you bought bitcoin when the price is $1000 don't worry because it will not decrease the price of $1000 becaude it will increase the price very high again and you will see $10,000 again and you will get more profit again this month.

I haven't panicked and thought about selling my coins (impulsively) tbh everytime I see the price go down i'm chill with it. Even when I was a newbie back then I remember my first time buying Bitcoin from an exchange lost 10% in a week I was upset that time but I didn't panic sell. I do sell my coins from time to time though I just don't panic and sell once I see the price go down by 10-20%.

Nearly zero and if that project got no plans at all. Sell eveeything where is no chance unless it will opened in new exchange.

I rarely panicked. I rarely invest on ICO, when I do. I work for them and I rarely use my money and put it in a new ICO. That is too risky.

Good for you. The first time I own some bitcoin and the price goes down, I panic sell. I lose alot yet I also learned a lot.

I start to join cryptos when the price is around $1000, and I can see the price exceed so many expectations, so even if its falling until $1000 I won't be panic, but when its fall down I don't focus on the price but the reason behind the falling and the potential the coin to bounce back, if the falling is because people are not interested in bitcoin anymore then it's a good reason to panic, if it's because the security system then it's time to panic, but if it's because the exchanges got hacked, or btc got major correction, then there is no reason to panic no matter how big is the price

I invested in Bitcoin when its price was a little over $ 1000. Therefore, I will sell Bitcoin only if it falls below this mark, so as not to go into negative.

We have different strategy in handling our Bitcoin, when to buy and when to sell it on the treed, the question is "what is your action when the price value is dropping, will you panic or not?".  A lot of opinion posted are with great sense, why sell when you've acquired Bitcoin at a low price, yes, it is your warning signs to move or to act on either buying or selling on the market treed. Market is volatile anything can happened in the trading, monitor and value your coin, then make a final decision when the market price value of your coin is dropping.

1btc=1btc

Everyone thought $15k was moon. Everyone said $6k so quickly was impossible, then we hit $4k. With such a raw psychological market like bitcoin's, ideas like these tend to extremify. They compound upon themselves and reinforce themselves when the goal comes closer. 1btc=1btc.. no dollar!  Smiley

where is the never option?

panic is the worst thing you can do.
I've said that I'm going to hold until I can but I'll not going to do something that I know isn't worth of doing so. I'll never panic now and I've learned of this with my past experience.

1btc=1btc
Yeah the number changes only the value but the price is changing so quick and only the toughest holders and real investors will endure and won't go with the flow along with the bunch of panic sellers.

To be honest, I do not know how to panic. In the first place, my mindset was take the risk always, if it gives me nothing then its okay. When I was younger, the greatest regret for me and my weakness was being impatient, but now I'm always taking the risk, maybe I loss all or I will have many. Selling my coins at the stage of dropping was none of my options hence I will buy and invest more.

A lot of people are reaching a point where they are considering selling their coins. I would like to know, what your "panic" sell

point is?

I bought most of my coins at below $1000, so I am not worried at all about the drop in the price. I will never walk away from

Bitcoin losing any money, because I sold some bitcoins when the price reached $19,000 last year and made back all the

money that I invested. Some people bought at $19,000 last year, and I think many of them sold already. Do you have a point,

where you will push the "panic" button?

I doubt that it will go down much further, but if it does... where would you start selling your coins?
I will have to first create an average of how much my bitcoin has cost me over the years since I bought it every time I had some money to spare but I'm a very calm person and I prefer to keep holding my coins no matter what than to sell for a loss, besides I am completely convinced the price of bitcoin will recover and even if it takes years I will keep holding so I will never press the panic button you are talking about.

As for me I don't have a panic button. I will not do this. On the contrary I will buy more cryptocurrencies and start doing this with $ 3,000 very actively.

People who have 200 or 1000 Bitcoins they will panic at $5,000. That is lots of money and they are big sellers.

I wouldn't sell the coins as I have invested the money what I can afford to lose. But many people are here for short term and long term benefits as well. People lacking patience would sell off their coins even for minimum profit and people with lots of patience hold their coins even for years and wait for a fortune return which many people doesn't do here. I would suggest any price would only increase the momentum of btc day by day. I m here for long.

Holding on to your crypto is the key to get positive returns from the market. I have seen many people selling in losses and then weeping for their mistakes when the price recovers. I have learnt this the hard way. I won't be committing that mistake again and will hold until there is no hope of return.
I think the price won't fall below 2000-3000 . I have found one exchange called 1fox which has hedging of cryptocurrencies. It gives the benefit to retain the amount of fiat in crypto. For more info on this check out : https://1fox.com/?c=en/content/guide
