I know that this is illegal. I just found out that a merit source is selling the merits that he has for $5 per merit. I was curious to know who the guy is and so I played with him as a buyer. Can someone help me on who to report this kind of abuse when it comes to merits? Thanks alot. I wasnt' able to capture the screenshot of his account. All I read was Bluestreet is the name of the account since he deleted it immediately when he sensed that I won't be buying the merits.

I have no idea who that is, or even if that's a legitimate offer there.  I assume that's a telegram chat?

There's no proof shown that that guy is a merit source, and it could very well be just a scam offer or just some dude selling his merits from an alt account or something.  Without his bitcointalk userid and proof that it's actually that account making the offer, there's not a hell of a lot anyone can do here.

I think Meta is the appropriate section for this, unless there's a scam happening.  You can't exactly use the "report to moderator" button for something that happened off-site.

Edit:  I posted the above before you were done adding the second screenshot, I think.  Is it this guy?  Do we know Bluestreet is a merit source?

I agree unless there's a concrete proof showing that he really is what he say, then and then it's probably punishable. There are lot's of people doing this, and all i can say it's pretty risky selling merits.

it's wrong to falsely accuse someone. Besides, you're the first one to message him, how do we know you're not into buying merits and just being vigilante. When things go wrong, you try and act so mighty.

I'm not accusing someone. I just want to catch these bastards selling merits. How can I persuade them to give the account if I won't act as a buyer? make sense right? If i were to buy, I'd go buy an account. I know that this is rampant in here and it won't be fixed so I rest my case and move on.
