We go to work because we have bills to pay. But the work environment causes us to make poor food choices thus, we pack on the pounds. And so correspondingly, going to the office can be unhealthy. Maybe working remotely is a better idea? A CNN story reports how workplaces across America provide employees with high-sodium and refined foods, and not enough fruit and whole grains. A study was conducted by Division of Nutrition, Physical Activity, and Obesity at the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and they looked at more than 5,000 employees across the US. Based on their study, some of the most commonly consumed foods included soft drinks, coffee, sandwiches, cookies and brownies. Although there was salad, there was pizza and fries as well. Their research also shows that most of the calories consumed were from free food during meetings, in the common areas or work-related social events. It really is difficult to stay healthy when you work at an environment that does not support good health. How about you guys? What’s the food environment like in your office? Are you healthy? https://editi[Suspicious link removed]/2018/06/12/health/unhealthy-workplace-eating-study/index.html

Well, frankly I appreciate whatever the company offers since not all the workplaces provide free food. Being said that, it is my choice whether I am going to eat or not. It will be much nicer fresh fruits are on the table all the time, however, it means that we should have someone taking care of them before going bad. I am not against the idea but just saying that we can't really blame on the company.

I think this depends on the nature of work you are doing.. If you are doing hard work eating while at Work will not cause you to be fat

If we work as salaryman where mostly our doing is sit in front of computers, then YES eating (without workout) makes we fat. but if we're engineers or mechanics, then NO, eating will be a helpful thing.

I am always trying to eat healthy. So I always bring a yogurt with me to work, and as for lunch- sometimes I'm trying to bring food from home, and if I can't- I always get a salad or soup for lunch. Just avoid pizza - burger places. Also, after eating fast food it makes me tired and its hard to concentrate.

If you eat junk food it'll definitely make you fat. Eating salads and vegetables won't make you fat wherever you eat it.

Depends on how busy you are at work, some people don't have time to eat while others just sit around eating doughnuts

Well you have at least half an hour to get something to eat so it's really up to you if you want to eat something healthy or some junk food.

It depends on the type of work you are doing and the kind of food you are eating... For example if you are an office worker and you are eating fat food you will surely get fatter

I always took my food in a container. I think it's better to eat your homemade than quickly eat and buy ready-made meals. Everyone chooses his own way.

If you want to lose weight and keep off the excess fat the best thing to do is only eat one meal at the end of the day.

I don't believe much in calorie counting, but the thing that I do is to avoid food with a lot of sugar and if ever I'll eat a lot, I make sure that I'll be able to normalize everything through exercising.
Most workplaces will really make you eat a lot and fast since you need to be on the go since there are deadlines that need to meet so the best option for you is to exercise afterwards, or before going to work, exercise first.
