Have you heard of this already?

Microsoft acquired GitHub for $7.5 billion in stock last week, the third largest in Microsoft’s history behind Skype ($8.5B) and LinkedIn ($26.2B). Microsoft paid 30x GitHub’s annual revenue, nearly 5x what they paid for LinkedIn back in 2016.

Wondering how it is going to change everything we know about GitHub.

I think Microsoft is aimed at divesting strongly from the normal word processing business they've majored in.
Just hoping they have veritable plans at making it better. That's my primary concern.

Pertaining to Revenues; they'll definitely gain their ROI and return to profitability in less than 7years

I think they're doing a good job with linkedin.
if they'll improve github beyond what it is now; then the acquisition is a good idea
