I was afk today (big easter meal) and I see so much move. Karmashares is on the good way ! I think we can said that we have the best project leader, be nice with him (I think kosmost is not human, it is an intelligent digital entity, the living soul of KARMA !) I will send few millions on karmashares soon. haha.. I nearly forgot it was Easter. (Still in Asia now) I hope you had a good one

No need to participate.
But I want to.. As a 2 mil bagholder for lots of months. Guess gotta buy some coins.. Well if you wait until it hits about 80-100 litoshi then we may drop the minimum to 2MM (but that will probably be the same because then it is more expensive to buy)

Lol, don't thing so... I have 1.2 Billion Karmacoins
where have you been all this time? how have you help out this coin? if you only had given 100 mill coins it would have help set thing in motion much faster. a plead to all the huge bag holders. Do something with those coins. If you help push the coin up, our coins value will be 100x more then you with you just sitting there hoarding them. :/ It's ok to just sit on top of a big pile of coins. Not everyone has time to help. Some of us have extra time so can help more. Also, some people hold many different coins. Not-dumping still helps the coin. And he/she will be nicely rewarded for their patience.

true.
How ever just sending those 100 million coins back when they were worth 1/3 of now could have help us create different services. They all should know that our coins have been paid to get this thing rolling.
sitting does help. But using those coins to smoothen the path would make it much easier

Thanks kosmost for the answers. I think I understand better now, I also only now realized the phase to gain shares through holding coins won't start until next month. Its a bit of a shame as I don't really want to "sell" my KARM, not even for Karmashares. But I guess I will have to if I don't want to miss the bonuses. Its a very clever sort of crowdfunding campaign, that also boosts the coin along the way and hopefully leads to a business that creates real lasting value. I wish you (or should I say us as a soon to be "shareholder") best of luck!
As for the price - its a bit too fast for my liking. Price was 14 only 2 days ago and is now mid-50ish. Much resistance on the way to 80 litoshi, profits of 400%+ are very tempting. Plus many bagholders now get their first chance in months to sell out with minimized losses. We will see plenty more dumps. Try to buy them up!
I actually withdrew most of my KARM from exchanges, so that I don't get tempted to sell it in a weak moment. Any profits I might choose to take along the way will instantly be put up as buysupport.
Nothing wrong with exchanging half and watching the other half grow in value. But never invest more than you care to lose (that includes cryptocoins in general). But actually I think the shares will be worth FAR more, as you can do more with them. Right now for 5,000,000 coins you can get more than 1% of Karmashares. Even if only 1 of our 4 revenue streams succeeds that could still turn out to be worth quite a bit. If we have a successful app with EyeQ and sell it off in a year for $25MM, for example, your 5,000,000 coins would have turned into $250,000 (if no other claims were made from the last updated list). Google, Facebook, Microsoft, and others purchase lots of mediocre companies for the talent, name, technology, whatever for even more than that. We have an opportunity to do something unique and rewarding at the same time. The more money we make the more opportunity we have to help others. The more Karma is used, the more others can reward people they know with Karma.

btw, the first press release for Karmashares will go out on Tuesday.
We'll let people know of what we're doing and how we're the first cryptocurrency to do it. Also, the amount of member buy-in, etc
You don't need to buy into Karmashares but you may want to pick up some more Karma before then.

Question: Since I already put in for a share of the company, can I now send more to add to it, even if what I want to send is say, only 2.2 million or some other sub 5 mil amount?

Is anyone having problems connecting to the pool at karmacoin.info?
I cannot connect with either cgminer or cpuminer. cgminer just hangs and does nothing, at all. cpuminer was returning an odd error earlier but now just says "stratum_recv_line failed ...retry in 30 seconds..."
I am using the same conf for cgminer as always and the same bat for cpuminer as always, I last was hashing there maybe three days ago just fine. now, nope.
I am able to connect to other pools with no problems.
this is the .bat I am using: minerd --url=stratum+tcp://stratum.karmacoin.info:3335 --userpass=tgcryder.workme:work -t 3
same addy in the .conf for cgminer.
Any insight?

Not sure, but I read on reddit that pool.karmacoin.info may be shutting down today. Try chunkypools or hashstrike EDIT: here's where i saw it at, posted by cryptowho: http://www.reddit.com/r/Karmacoin/comments/23hhup/is_there_an_karmacoin_p2pool/

I just sent another 18 mil KARMA to karmashares... I had originally sent in ~62 MIL karma. When I checked the list of transactions, my 18 mil is showing up....but it is under a different wallet address? Is that normal?
