Why? Because we are making use of our currency, and in the process helping our currencies economy by removing coins from the market. That's like saying why have karmacoin, litecoin, dogecoin etc when we already have bitcoin? We are growing our coin this way.

We're not just raising funds. Sure, we could raise a lot more if we accepted Bitcoin. But we're helping our coin grow and rewarding the people who hold the coin. I don't see a need to reward Bitcoin holders since your market cap is 1,000,000% more than ours. (It's actually more than that)

A gimmick, I think, would be accepting Bitcoin, cash, check, credit cards, PayPal, money orders, wire transfer, and Western Union for Karmashares. and aren't all of those even more "mainstream and useful" than Bitcoin?

Because we don`t like such stories http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/bitcoin-miner-earning-8-million-month-1439662. Where greedy f-----s like butterflys and K_Cminers are messing and trying to centralize something beautiful like cryptos. We do like strong Bitcoin, but we do not like it to be alone.

try to backup your wallet - then delete "karmacoin" from %AppData% roaming folder

... but:

backup your wallet (you can copy the wallet.dat out of %AppData% roaming folder! thats YOUR karma!)

What version of the Karma Wallet are you running ?

You should have the v0.8.6.2.4.

If not just save your wallet.dat (just in case), download the last version of the wallet there : http://karmashare.me/wallets/karmacoin-qt-windows-0.8.6.2.4b.zip
Extract and run karmacoin-qt-windows.exe (I'm assuming you're using Windows of course...)

Let me know if things got fixed
