EXRATES.ME is a scam Exchange

I tried using that exchange and I want to convert my btx to bitcoin I found very good price for that btx at the coin market cap but that is very fake volume. I just use cryptopia but now they are also looking to be a scam exchange because they shut down their wallets for too long without any notice when they are going to make it available.

Is it true that exchanges are a scam, I use them when I sell octoin, but I feel safe and there are no obstacles.

As far as I am concerned, they are not a scam exchange, rather they have been hacked recently. I am not saying that this wasn't a self-hack, it is not in my authority to decide that. There is a notice on their official Twitter page though.

They fake 99.9% of the volume! 
Should be on of the top Exchanges in Volume but actuall trading is near zero!
I want to trade XMR to BTC with a tiny volume and its not possible.
Exchange make fake transactions all 10 Minutes but the orderbooks are nearly totally empty.
Hopefully I can withdraw my money ... will report ...

But still 99.9% of all trades are fake and even for BTC/USD the orderbook is nearly @ ZERO.
So people that want to place a coin there get scammed!
I think you get your money back because there business is to get money by selling now Coin spots on there Exchange and they want a good reputation by people getting there coins back!

My advice: Stay AWAY!!!

They can't have good reputation if they are faking the prices,no one will trade again if they got a penny for gold coins.Its good that you got it but you may paid them decent amount of withdrawal and transaction fee which is actually loss for you and this might be their strategy to make some money.

They only charged 0.0001 XMR for withdraw. That is very cheap and good
With "good reputation" I mean that this thread is only 5 pages strong, because the users got there money back. So they are not 100% pissed!

There are many project just launching their projects on small exchanges to get listed as soon as possible. This is one of the exchange for the small scale projects. User friendly matters, you cannot find good feel on this exchange so you may try with big B exchanges if you need great trading experience.

Moreover no one can become big in the first day it will take time grow big. Cheers.

agree with that move. it will be handled properly and people might post valid proofs of your claim. heard that exchange though because of one token that I received before from a bounty. but didn't use that exchange as the trading activity was almost inexistent. but 3 BTC as listing fee, are they really out of their mind?

Looks 99%,to be honest.Because they reported huge volume and good price to CMC but actual condition is different they don't even have any orders near the reported price and I am also having the bad experience.
