Introduction

Technical

Wispr is forked from Blackcoin, the first 100% PoS coin and a fork from the original Bitcoin. Now with PoS 3.0; one of the most secure Proof of Stake systems in the world that guarantees decentralization and mitigation of most attacks. Forking Blackcoin for these reasons was almost a no-brainer.

Beside being able to stake your coins in your wallet you will also be able to run a masternode, which will be implemented early July.

Passive Income

WSP will be a Proof of Stake coin (PoS 3.0 to be exact). This means that the circulating supply will increase with a fixed percentage every year. These payouts will be distributed to everyone that holds WSP and has a node (wallet) or a masternode online. The main advantages of PoS against PoW (Proof of Work) are:
• Nodes are incentivized to stay online due to constant staking
• Energy efficiency (most PoW mining algorithms are resource heavy)
• Earning potential to all holders - up to 25% when staking in an open wallet.

When we launched, 25 million WSP was pre-mined (hence the PoW phase) and distributed during a swap we offered to our community. As soon as the 25 million had been mined, PoS was enabled and our network went live.
