Why E-Gold over bitcoin?

E-Gold Is a revolutionary second generation coin.  One of the biggest problems with currencies like bitcoin is it takes 10 minutes to reach a confirmation on the blockchain. Can you imagine walking into a convenience store and buying a drink and having to wait 10 minutes for it to confirm? No, it I just impractical and with other currencies the block time is so quick that if anyone where to get %51 of the network it would take no time to double spend any coins you want. E-Gold will be made from the ground up in c++ (Like bitcoin) with this in mind.
Another thing is that the blockchain itself is massive for bitcoin which makes it so impractical for things like phones to run of even with the massive breakthrough in storage we are having. With E-Gold we are making the original qt to run as a lightweight client similar to electrum whilst keeping all features that would normally be included.
Bitcoin is also considered confusing by many people to the general public due to the whole mining process. Many people consider it a thing for only technologically inclined people. With E-Gold we are here to change this stereotype. We will be creating a lite easy to understand gui miner that comes preloaded with settings for different cards (Including different models.

What’s the catch?

Nothing! E-Gold is a true revolutionary second generation  that is coded in c++ for the people! With eCash you don’t need to know too know much about crypto currencies as everything will be specifically made for ease of use.

Who are you/we?

Currently we are a group of four coders working to release this coin. In the soon future we are also looking to expand out and take on some PR consultants and more coming soon.
Will it have a future after launch hype?
Yes! We have a lot of things in planning but sadly these can cost money) such as a USD (more currencies can be added later) exchange and much more.

Will there be an IPO?

Yes, due to the nature of this coin there will be a %10 IPO to raise funds (We are looking at 10-20 BTC for a full exchange) for many things such as:

-   Pools

-   Shops

-   Exchanges (Yes! If we can raise enough we will be getting a day 1 exchange)

-   further development

-   Games (Such as casino’s and dice games)

-   And much much more

How can I get in on this IPO?

1.   Make sure this is something you want. Do you want to be an early adopter of the next big thing?
2.   Send any amount of btc to (Above 0.01 so it I easy to keep record of) to 1F3fHcuHXiJ7J1ZcrvNv4dLxtBxbnMxxis
3.   PM me with your tx ID
4.   Watch the development advance until release
5.   All coins will be sent once you message me your e-gold wallet id.

Is this a fair way to distribute coins?
Absolutely! People will get paid through how much they put in. For example if we raise 1 btc overall and you put 0.01 towards this you would have 1/100th of the %10 which would be 10,000 coins.
Also, if you disagree with this is it fair satoshi has over 1 million BTC? Is it fair the federal reserve make money of an oversized printer?

Specifications

Scrpt-jane – Scrypt jane Is an algorithm which anyone can mine. Cpu’s can mine it quite easily whilst GPU’s will be less and less profitable over time due to the adaptive n factor/
1,000,000,000 – If e-gold is going to be the currency of the future it must have a long lifespan so many people have a chance to use this currency.
Block time – N/A
Blocks till retarget – at first it shall be 20 (no instamine) and will be lowered in further updates.

Anything else for know?
Yes, I would like to say this coin is not %100 completed and that is why we need funds to keep it going so there are some risks involved. And although this coin is in the works nothing is guaranteed.
Please ask questions below Smiley

The number of scam IPOs that have been around lately warrant at least several screenshots and evidence that this one isn't also a scam.

Just because this coin is not fully developed does not make it a scam... There is currently no GUI as we are working on the backend of the code...

What would you like pictures of?

As many shots of the source code as possible. Black out some parts if you really think it's needed. And please post it fast - not after 2 days of photoshopping.  Cool

If the project falls through investors will get atleast some money back (It depends on what has been spent etc.)
It depends on a lot of things.
I would rather not post my info for security reasons...

Lol....then I will have to label this coin a scamcoin thread and will be on this thread as often as I can to prove it is scam until proven otherwise....you should not ask for IPO if you have no active proof the coin exists....this is getting tiring trying to prove IPO coins are scams....100% guessed right rate right now..

Why is this scamcoin you may ask?

No working Code.

Don't want to reveal identity... for "security purposes" which would be fine if the person had something to prove..Source Code or anything like that.

No Insurance.

No nothing but words and pictures.

Until at least 2/4 of this is proven wrong....INVESTORS DO NOT INVEST

You come asking for IPO to rape and rob investors. I can't believe people believed this whore..

If you want to lose your BTC, then invest in this. Simple as that.

This doesnt have to be a scamcoin just because there isnt proof... How else do you propose we raise funds to continue development at a higher standard?
Is there something else I could post for proof? The sourcecode would look very similar to bitcoin upto an extent.. What do you want me to do for insurance?

OP got nothing to show for no code no noting, just a story about a revolutionary altcoin he is going to develop and he is asking BTC upfront.

It looks like an IPO scam. it walks like an IPO scam and it quacks like an IPO scam, chances are it is an IPO scam, just like 95 % of all IPO's

The bottom line is basically this:

A anonymous newbie with no trust and no history at all is asking you to sent BTC first and then he promises to do something for you in return, We all know how these kind of deals end 99 % of the time in this forum

Alright guys....goal is to make OP quit this IPO before 14 activities ok?

If there is absolutely no one investing I would have no chance but to close this... It just means the coin will have to be later released without a few of the features described in the OP.

E-Gold has already been around as a currency, not a cryptocurrency, but it isn't a name you can or want to use.

The fact that you either didn't do research, or expected no one to really notice, isn't doing you any favors.

On top of that, you want to IPO, well, good luck with that

I think they are going for the controversy.  It is pretty impossible to be interested in this area without being familiar with E-Gold.

Although you are right, given that they are trying to IPO while using the same name is a non-starter.
