If you feel unsafe about sending your personal data, avoid or search that does not apply your information.
but based on my experience, until now I feel safe by sending the information I give to the whitelist.

What i have realised so far is that ICOs requiring KYC verification are mostly legitimate, they are against scam and want to prevemt frauds.
However, if you feek unsafe sending your real information to ICOs, you can invest in non-requiring KYC ICOs but chances are less for the success of such project

Some ICO project need to know their customer, so they require the KYC before join to the ICO Sale. Some govement such as: China, US or Singapore... which prohibit the ICO action. Hence, the ICO project need to know about you to avoid some illegal issue in some govements. Don be scared, It safe as my understanding and my experience

I find it very funny that people who themselves are hiding behind online identities requires you to provide the government supplied identities in name of KYC. I will suggest you not to join these kind of projects. You will lose your money and these scammers will sell your document to someone else for money.
KYC is required for legit business but if you are not sure if the business is really registered or legit ,then you should avoid it.

Unfortunately since there's so many scams out there it is quite unsafe, only whitelist for projects that you trust!

I always send information to the whitelist and there's nothing to worry about, everything works as it should. In general, do not be afraid to send information to the whitelist. Everything will be fine. Good luck.

Even ICO or projects that do require KYC doesnt mean that they would succeed everytime in the end of the sale. Tendency of scams is there anytime which it would really puts hesitation for me anytime to make investments.
I agree on the thing that if you are on hesitation then you can anytime neglect a particular whitelisting and find another one which you do have the confidence to invest on. Its your choice, if you feel unsafe then you shouldnt force out yourself to submit any verification further more.

I think that what the market really needs is not so much people who will put their money into the projects, but rather those who will actually use the coins and support the projects by action. People can buy and sell coins, leading to big price fluctuations, but that is no good for the market, because this trading value is far from the intrinsic value of the projects themselves. When cryptocurrencies will truly help to implement blockchain into reality, strong investors will be able to support the market as there will be no threat of it being a bubble. For now this seems to be far from truth.

Yes i feel the same moreover this is like against the concept that satoshi has been proposed. I don't know I just feel like I'm too scared to send my private data to some random people on the internet I might upload but atleast to those that i can trust either in online or real life.
So if you feel unsecure it's better for you to not participate well you made a good choice.

we are participating in some projects for bounty or ICO purposes. unfortunately some fraudulent people are using and selling our information. Please remember that the passwords of your accounts differ from the passwords. because if you use that password you are a member of that site and you do not have extra protection, you lose your money.

Nothing to be worried about sending information to the whitelist here
Some companies in the ICO’s need to know their customers before giving any projects to them
As far as the scams concerned they also want their project to be at safer hands so they want to know their people with whom they are working with
There are some countries which have banned the ICO’s so the company doesn't want to take the risk here either
If you really feel insecure about it it's better not to accept those projects which require your kyc so that you can be saved and will be tension free
But I can't say about their real authority than with you.

@OP I suggest using platform like menlo.one Its a more safe and secure way of dealing your KYC information. One good thing about them is they will automatically filter out good ICO's from the fake ones, so any information you'll put is in safe hands.

Of course, there are many vulnerabilities online that are successfully used by scammers. And to determine exactly where the normal project is and where the scam is difficult.I pass KYC with no problem.I've never been caught cheating before. You just need to either invest or participate in a bounty of good projects.

if it comes to mail-you can make a special mail. if it's about documents, make a watermark. I think here, too, you can turn on your data protection, if you're afraid
