So - I feel like everyone should know this:

I was following the discussion on the Leancy facebook group - contributing constructively and making no claims or speculation. The apparent admin "Leiven VanNeste" began to basically scold users for making "wild speculations" on the page. I agreed that wild speculations were not fruitful but suggested he not act with such a scornful attitude toward customers.

I was summarily banned from the group.

I logged in using a different facebook account and found that most of the comments from the previous 30 minutes had been deleted.

I did some digging and the name of the VanNeste guy has been associated with several other of these kind of investment programs all of which went belly up and lost people a lot of money.

I really, really don't see this ending well. Maybe I am wrong. We'll see.

After reading about the site being taken over, I went to their Facebook page to seek answers.

I was immediately met with about three pages of images (not text) posted by Lieven Van Neste (one of Leancy's admins on Facebook page) which were little boxes with twinkling stars and captions such as:
"Site will be back online"
"Investments are safe"
"Ryan will fix it"
"Back up in 2-3 days"

It looked ridiculous, almost like a child's Geocities webpage.

Lieven then began reprimanded people for asking questions about their funds. In fact he scolded people for spreading "accusations" when in fact they were only asking if their funds were safe. It was like a little midget running around placing duct tape on people... the moment someone asked when the last backup of the server was made or if their deposits were safe or if they'd see reimbursement, boom! Lieven would be there to delete the message or ban them.

This little dicksmoker must really love his referrals because he'll do anything to silence the negativity. He even has his own page: http://www.aboutlievenvanneste.com/

Don't get me wrong... I do believe Leancy will go back up. They had $4,000,000 at the time of the server being taken from them so they could have taken the money at any time. I also know it's a Ponzi and I know one day it will cease to exist. I did (and do) expect though a few months out of it before that. If I'm lucky I may see my 150% ROI.

However the way that I was silenced, banned 3 times from Facebook for merely asking if our money was safe was enough. I warned them if they continued to do so when I was asking in PRIVATE, I'd come warn people on the forums in PUBLIC.

So...
AVOID LEANCY and AVOID LIEVEN VAN NESTE

When you ban your investors for asking about their $, you know it's time to find another investment.

One thing I need to make certain is that Lieven is not the admin of Leancy. If you have any issues or questions regarding your account, you should message the admin on Leancy's skype channel directly to get a quicker response (fyi: the admin have been bombarded with the same Q's and you might just get an automated response). Lieven cannot help you with account issues, only the admin can. In regards to the Facebook shenanigans, Lieven is the admin of the FB group because he created it and was not actually created by Leancy Ltd. themselves. Lieven just managed to get the admin (Ryan) to participate in the group. Please also keep in mind Lieven is the admin on the skype channel too since he made it... so practice self-restraint on there as well.

Agree. Avoid.

After asking nicely in the skype room I was unbanned. But I find the way they've treated their 'investors' to be a little unprofessional.

once the site comes back up, I'll keep making my withdrawals as soon as the balance reaches the minimum amount and hope I at least get my principal back.

Honestly though I think the site will come back. If they were intent on shuttering now there's no reason to even answer these questions or try to hush naysayers.

And if you don't believe that - I think you can at least agree there is no reason to leave over 40 BTC in their payout wallet.
That's the barometer I'm checking. If that wallet suddenly goes dry - then I think we can begin to mourn our coins.

What's odd about that is that earlier today the 45 BTC they had in that account was sent to their cold storage, bringing it up to 1050, but about an hour later it was back with no existence of the transaction itself on either wallet as if it never occurred. I and a few others had witnessed this, which quite honestly baffled us.

Any clue as to why this is?

I made an "unofficial" Leancy skype room for Bitcoin members. Join there to discuss, vent, rant, or voice your opinions about the issue at hand with Leancy or anything Bitcoin-related. This thread is becoming too cluttered with the same topic over and over again. As of this point, there really isn't a point to be going back and forth on the same subject.

My Skype username is leanybtc. Please make a request to add me to your contact list so I can add you to the chat room. Make sure when requesting you mention you're from btctalk as I get add request from random people on Skype.

Much obliged.

If you want people to join your room you must add them in skype. Skype rooms are not accesible with the search bar. You should better post your username instead.

How do I request a refund at this point? Im ok with my initial investment minus withdrawals and transaction fees. This all seems very fishy and I would like my BTC back at this point. Im not speculating as to cause, motive, or anything else. I simply no longer wish to conduct business with Leancy.

Duly noted, thank you. I've rarely used Skype. My username is leancybtc. Please add me to your contact so I can add you to the chat group. Make sure to mention you're from btctalk so I know who to add. I get random request all the time and I want to make this exclusive to Bitcoin users only. Thanks in advance everyone.

You probably can't get a refund. The whole point of a Ponzi scheme is that people at the end of the scam lose their money.

You can request a refund at anytime provided you do not pass the 10 day criteria or if you have already accrued more than 75% of your 150% return. I've done it before and it went through without a hitch. Keep in mind that it could take up to 7 business day to process the refund. At this time, I doubt they can process anything since they do not have access to their servers. So yea, refunds are out of the question for now.

Any update on this? Last I heard on Facebook, they'd found a new host and testing was underway but the domain remains offline.

Can't make heads or tails of the wallet balances, looks like they have 53 BTC but deposits seem to be coming in today (and site offline?)

I'm assuming some people are still using the old NameServer Leancy was on and is probably unaware of the current situation. Or it could be from old deposits that has finally caught up from yesterday or a few days ago since Blockchain's API was having issues as well. My withdrawal from 2 nights ago (before the Koddos shenanigans) just finally got confirmed earlier today and went into my wallet a few hours ago.
