Should bring some fresh eyes and users to the economy as well as inspire confidence in the people already here.

The download volume tracker on Sourceforge is a pretty good indicator of install base/news as well.

This can and will have a huge impact. People on the conference represents trillions of dollars.

They could easily increase the price back up to $30 in a day  Grin

TY for link.

BUT not all dl are created equal.  Mass appeal is not what Sibos and Hackspace are about.  You might not see a mass dl as a result, but the buying power (Sibos) and nerdiness (hackspace) of the dl-er is more important.  Higher investment in bitcoin and adoption rate per dl, respectively.

Amusing too is Google Trend's search hits for "bitcoin":

The download volume graph is a bit deceptive because one has to take into account the fact that there has not been a new Bitcoin client release for months. Before August there were old and new users downloading the client, during August and September it's mostly new users.

When the new 0.4 client with built-in encryption is released, I bet the download count jumps significantly and stays up for a while.

As for Google trends, that isn't looking good. But just like the transaction count and everything else, I see those indicators bottoming out very soon, just like the price (which possibly has already bottomed).

Denarium closing sale discounts now up to 43%! Check out our products from here!

Look who else is showing up at Sibos:

Antonio Benjamin, Global Chief Technology Officer, Citi
Uday Goyal, Founder, Anthemis Group SA
Shamir Karkal, CFO, Banksimple
Darrell MacMullin, Managing Director of PayPal Canada, PayPal
Venessa Miemis, Social Technologies Researcher, Emergent by Design
Donald Norman, Co-founder, Bitcoin Consultancy Ltd.
Heather Schlegel, CEO, Purple Tornado
Stan Stalnaker, Founding Director, Hub Culture / Ven Currency

We've got a bunch of companies trying to get the biggest cut of the pie and fees, and then Bitcoin, which doesn't want your money or fees at all (and for which anyone can be a speaker or expert), it just works.

Doesn't it suck when you're in all the way above $6 and it crashes to $5?

I'd say this is what The Manipulator wants, and it may very well help trigger a new rally. It just wants to buy more at a lower price.
