Hi, I am planning to create my own faucet lists and rotator. I am just curious if how profitable it is before launching my own site like on weekly basis or monthly profit range. How much time do I have to allocate on daily basis to keep my faucet list and rotator site alive.

Lastly Aside from A-ads can this type of site be able to get approved by other advertising company?

First of all, I recommend to not create faucet rotator. Mostly faucets require to view shortlinks and it doesn't work on rotator. And many faucets can't be opened on iframe.
Currently I have faucet list/crypto blog on Wordpress. ~ year ago I was able to earn few hundred bucks per month with 200-300 visitors per day. Now traffic slightly decreased, I earn maybe up to $50 per monthy. Other factors why earnings decreased - there aren't many decent faucets left and also not many newbies are interested in faucets - they focus on airdrops and bounties.
I update my list one - two times a week. Now when there aren't many faucets I don't have spend lot of time while updating list.
About ad networks. I was also accepted by Bitcoadz.io. I didn't tried more ad networks because I don't want that my site would be full of ads. But I'm sure that some more ad networks can accept such websites, you only have to meet their requirements.

I suspect it's very much the same as with the faucets themselves, big traffic = big money, low traffic = low income.
So, it all depends on how good you are at drawing traffic.
Myself, I'm much better at coding than I am at marketing, layout and graphics = lots of work for very little payoff. If you're the other way around you should be able to make it worth your while. I guess the work is it's own reward in my case.  Grin

Don't just short links, ezLink them!

Part of the problem is google trends are way down from where they were. Where I was seeing 2500 views a day, I am now seeing 500. It's also become a more crowded space. You should have an SSL and that is not cheap. If you can break even in your first year, I would say you are doing well.

Oh, and as far as what you can make ... you are very unlikely to make a significant hourly wage. For instance on CryptoNinja.co we don't have ads. I realize this hurts the bottom line, but it makes for a better user experience, faster load times, and these things lead to higher search engine rankings. That's the game, SEO. We were also very fortunate to have launched just a couple weeks after Coinpot. That has really been our bread and butter. The airdrop space is very crowded but that also allows us to have a smaller "giveaways" page that includes contests and bounties and other things besides airdrops. It's been less than a year, and I don't want to talk about exact numbers, but these are the top clicks:

https://postimg.cc/image/9c6ugu8ob/

That pays for the domain, hosting and SSL.

If i was to start over, today, I would use a similar approach. If you can't do design and web dev, obviously that is another cost, but start there. Develop a brand. Find a niche. Make a good product that's usefull for people. That's half the battle.

Oh yeah, and I will be paying taxes, as income, in 2018 for crypto that I earned. Will be a nightmare from an accounting perspective.

Thanks for the information, By the way how much  faucets where currently on your lists? $50 a month spending a little bit of my spare time is not bad tho. Maybe I could also get more of that if I will be adding a better ad network. Do you have link of your faucet list as of the moment?

Well, on my part. My coding skills is just on the average and my marketing skill is on the average as well since I have experience doing marketing strategies.

I think SSL is not necessary, Since I will be doing a list only. Ads can really help alot in making profit. Nice site tho

It's a shame that with Google against faucets, you can't simply advertise them openly anymore.

If you plan to create a page, you must first get a decent amount of members, then think of advertising, the free daily earnings attracted quite a lot of members, according to me you have to spend the initial cost Attracted members already.

I haven't counted number of faucets recently, I would say there are 300-400 faucets, year ago I had listed over 800 faucets. But as I can say, biggest part of my ref commission I get from Freebitco.in and Coinpot faucets.
Yeah, ad networks can help, but it's not likely that best ad networks like Coinzilla, Cointraffic, Bitmedia will accept faucet list. And website full of ads wouldn't help to get many potential referrals.

It's a shame that with Google against faucets, you can't simply advertise them openly anymore.

You can actually advertise google adsense when you have faucet you just need to create different pages that has quality contents. How much more if you only have the faucet lists then probably you really can advertise using google.

If you plan to create a page, you must first get a decent amount of members, then think of advertising, the free daily earnings attracted quite a lot of members, according to me you have to spend the initial cost Attracted members already.

In order for me to get this I still have to find a way to create pages that has quality contents.

Yeah, as I see from Google Analytics, mostly people visit Bitcoin, Dogecoin and Ethereum faucets. Other coins like Blackcoin, Bitcore, Dash and others aren't popular, so I can't earn decent ref commission from these faucets.
And you can't use Google Adsense on faucets. Having quality content doesn't helps. Though, I'm not sure about faucet lists. Probably I can use it on my blog/faucet list, because I have quality original content. But I wouldn't risk to try, because I don't want to get ban.

Is it even profitable these days? I used to remember back in the 20k BTC days that faucets (especially on faucethub) were making their money by referring other faucets through their own faucets. Kind of like a vicious circle in a way.

Well, I have seen two site lists even a faucet who is actually running google adsense on their site. Since they have other contents that are actually acceptable in google's policy

I am not sure tho I think it is still quite profitable that depends on your marketing strategy
